Product Authenticity Complaints

Hi, so couple weeks ago a seller on amazon messaged me saying that if i could partnership with them for this listing asin and i didnt reply because it was a competetor on my generic amazon listing and a day later he bought a product from me from the same listing as a customer and asked for a refund and i gave the refund to him BUT now i just recieved an email from amazon saying that a buyer on amazon reported amazon that this product is not authentic and amazon needs all the information like the invoice and i am providing invoice and all the information to amazon and they keep declining my appeal and on the third appeal they said that they might not reply to my future emails.

What was the ASIN for the product. Did you buy it from an authorized wholesaler or a retailer? Does the item have any Brand name on the packaging?

there is no brand name its a generic brand and this is my generic listing, i bought it from alibaba.

Hey there @Benn,

Miguel from Amazon here to help. I see you have an issue with a listing and had trouble understanding why it was an authenticity issue despite having invoices and now need help resolving it on your account health page.

@Sapster makes some valid points as to why this is correctly flagged for authenticity issues and why your invoices are most likely not being accepted. When a brand is being advertised 1) you are using that intellectual property to make sales which you need permission from that rights owner to do so and 2) buyers are expecting what is being advertised which in this case are authentic Pit Viper sunglasses.

So now how do you fix this issue?

You have to create a plan of action that identifies and explains the situation clearly of what happened (root cause) and why, what you are going to do to resolve this specific issue/listing (corrective measures) and exactly how and what steps are you going to implement when adding a product/listing going forward that will prevent this from happening again in the future (preventative measures) and why you know this is going to help prevent this again.

Write this plan of action and make sure take the action you mentioned in your corrective measures whether that’s deleting the listing or getting the legitimate product from an authorized provider/manufacture from the brand, then submit it using the appeal button on your account health page under policy compliance issues section.
