Low Inventory Level Fees continuing to be charged despite Amazon't slow logistics

For at least the past six months I've been replenishing my product once it gets below the 45 day inventory level mark, sending in about one month of additional supply of inventory for the items close to that 45 day mark. Despite my extremely proactive effort in keeping inventory levels high in Amazon's warehouses, I continue to get charged the low inventory level fee. Why? I do not know. What I do know is that Amazon is taking longer than ever to process inbound shipments and they are charging me low inventory fees for inventory that is simply sitting in truck yards, on docks, and who knows where else throughout the AMZ-verse. Not only that but they make it nearly impossible to pinpoint the exact moments they are charging the fees. They have reports that give you the summarized totals of what they are charging you for a particular sku for the period you select. But there are no reports that I've been able to find that show you each moment they charge you the fee. Instead it appears to be surreptitiously getting buried in the fulfillment fee. In other words they are charging slightly more for the fulfillment fee and not being transparent about the fact that they are charging you more. This nickel and diming added up to about $6,000 for me in 2024. What I'm asking for is both transparency on the part of Amazon in their reporting as well as a return of seller funds for fees that are being charged for inventory that they are not processing through their system in a timely manner. Is anyone else out there having this problem as well?

Hello @Seller_ftCS5LmKZ26gg,

I'd be happy to jump in here!

Please note we will proactively reimburse sellers if the low-inventory-level fees are charged due to excessive inbound delays where Amazon or Amazon-managed services are the reason for the delay. This is accomplished by identifying which products exceeded inbound delay thresholds, and then we will reimburse the fees for the days in excess of the threshold. If you believe this isn't being accurately captured in your instances, please raise disputes on the fees with seller support for additional review.

If you haven't already, please look at the SKU Economics report for data deep dive and the Low inventory fee help page for additional information on these fees.

I hope this helps!

Kind regards,

NR_Amazon
