8-figure account is suddenly under temporary review

We received a message from Amazon today, stating that our account was placed under temporary review, funds are frozen. It says "This review period will provide us time to confirm delivery of your recent seller-fulfilled orders. The review period should not exceed 30 days, but we will inform you if additional time is required for your temporary review". A link to a general information of why this is happening does not help at all - none of the situations listed there can be applied to us.

What is going on? We've been a seller for 15+ years, 8-figure/year revenue, SFP program, using Buy Shipping for just about all orders, all orders have tracking numbers, and just about all delivered within a day or two. Amazon sees that we deliver everything.

We utilize Amazon Lending and Parafin (pitched to us by Amazon), have a ton of bills to pay for inventory, etc. That's not the way to treat your partners, Amazon.

@KJ_Amazon, can you assist with this?

Thanks!

That seems to be a lot of sales for having 7 reviews in 12 months? Or 5 in 90 days which leaves 2 in 9 months? Just seems a bit odd.

I feel sorry for you but this is the biggest threat sellers face here. they never know their 8 figure business will be shut down within a minute without any explanation. if you don't get any reasonable response in few days I would recommend to attend amazon accelerate next week and meet someone in person. last year I had issue with my prime badge and I was able to resolve my issue by attending amazon accelerate and meeting a real human at seller cafe. its my experience others might have bad experience.

My guess is that someone reported saying that they didn't receive the product you sent out and that Amazon wants to check and see that all of your products that you sent out are being delivered. Thats my best guess though

Hello @Seller_NzEmZKTEdcpPZ,

Thank you for contacting us here at the Forums! I'm happy to help you through this process that can be really frustrating for you and your business!

About your account being under temporary review, as a way to protect customers, Amazon monitors orders shipped by the seller to ensure that customers are receiving the purchased items in a timely manner.

Amazon may place seller's account under review to monitor their sales activities and validate the delivery of recent, seller-fulfilled orders. During this period, which cannot exceed 30 days, we may limit the seller's selling privileges as a preventive measure against potential impact on Amazon customers.

These restrictions can include:

  1. Temporary suspension of all offers or suspension of offers shipped by the seller
  2. Temporary limitation on the seller's ability to receive payments, in accordance with applicable laws and policies

During this review period, which cannot exceed 30 days, these measures are taken to protect customers. Although the funds remain in the seller's account, their payout ability will be temporarily limited.

The account may be placed under review for several reasons, such as:

  1. Lack of sufficient sales history - This can happen if the seller is new to the Amazon store or has not been actively selling for a long time. It takes time to build a positive transaction history between the customer and the seller.
  2. Multiple customers indicating non-receipt of ordered products - This could involve customer refund requests, A-to-Z Guarantee claims, or negative customer reviews. The seller is recommended to work with customers to resolve any issues and ensure prompt delivery of orders.
  3. Lack of or invalid tracking information - Valid tracking information can assure customers that orders are on their way and help Amazon validate delivery.
  4. Unusual changes in sales patterns - This can include a recent increase in sales or a significant shift in the type of inventory being offered.
  5. Selling higher-risk products - This can include electronic devices, computers, or trending items.
  6. Lack of important business information on the account - Ensuring that all relevant business details, such as the company website, address, and contact information, are up-to-date can help confirm the seller's identity and expedite the review process.
  • Please disregard the items that do not apply to your store.

To accelerate the review process, the seller can provide:

  1. Updated tracking information for recent, seller-fulfilled orders
  2. Proof of delivery for recently shipped orders, such as customer confirmation or delivery receipts
  3. Links or addresses of other stores (including other Amazon accounts) where the seller offers similar products and can demonstrate proof of delivery
  4. Evidence supporting the identification of the business and a positive customer-seller transaction history, such as the company website, email, or business banking details
  5. Proof of stock, such as invoices, to demonstrate the seller's ability to fulfill orders

Additionally, I'd like to request that you please verify their tracking numbers and provide proof of stock (invoices) as part of the review process.

If you are facing logistical challenges that are causing delays in order fulfillment, providing the reasons and supporting evidence can also be considered during the review.

Visit the page Selling account reviews for seller-fulfilled orders for more information.

Please us me know if you need further assistance! The forums community and I are committed to assisting you.

I wish you all the best,

Lifetime you have 1,989 reviews, but last 12 months you have 7.

1989/15 years = about 132.6/year.

Did you stop selling for a while and just recently get back on in a big way?

Generally it is not how big or small you are but how fast you have ramped up in sales that starts a review and hold of funds.

Amazon collects interest on held funds. They probably have 10's of millions of funds sitting on hold "pending review" garnering them 1000's and 1000's of dollars in interest.
