Read onlyHello,
Does anyone know how to merge or transfer inventory between FBA SKUs? (same ASIN, same product, diff SKU)
My company is going through a massive restructuring of our ERP system and that includes SKU changes to already existing products. I would like all of my SKUs in Amazon to match the SKUs in our ERP system. For FBM SKUs this is easy, add a new condition, change SKU, delete old one but for FBA this is more challenging due to the inventory being held by Amazon. I know I can do the same thing with FBA SKUs as I described with FBM SKUs but that is messy when it comes to inventory. Having to wait until the old SKU sells out and making sure inventory is there for the new SKU so we do not run out of stock. We have about 800 SKUs I would need to manage for this and why it would become a mess.
I would really like to be able to transfer the inventory from the old SKU to the new SKU for FBA. Nothing about the product is changing, just the SKU in our own ERP.
Any help/tips would be amazing, thank you
Unfortunately once inventory is at FBA you can't change it's SKU. The SKU and FNSKU are tied together. So, you can create a new SKU (get a new FNSKU) for the new inventory system and start sending in those units.
If you do this method, I'd price the new SKU slightly higher than the old SKU so that it's more likely that the old SKU sells first.
If you really want to (which I wouldn't) you can do a removal order on all the old SKU, relabel with the new SKU and send back to FBA.
