Order Status: Waiting for pickup

This is a new one for me. Bought usps FBM postage through Amazon. On the order status it says "waiting for pickup". I never saw that before. And we ship a lot. Every other order says "shipped" Anyone else ever see that?

We are getting the same thing this morning, too. I have not seen any release or information from Amazon about what this means. Can anyone help?

I am getting the same thing on orders shipped through Amazon Buy Shipping this morning, using my own UPS account that is attached to my seller account. The orders shipped through Fedex (which is not my own account) are showing correctly (shipped). I called and talked to seller support and they escalated my issue because they have no information on any changes to the way shipped items are appearing in orders before pickup.
I will update later if the picked up order shows shipped.

Same thing here. Many of my FBM orders shipped with USPS and UPS are showing “Waiting for pickup” as of this morning. Hoping to make it show "Shipped" by the time they get first scanned at the carrier. Please share any updates from Amazon you get. Thanks!

My orders were picked up by UPS today and now say "Picked Up" instead of "Waiting for Pickup". We may be at the beginning of some transition where instead of orders saying "Shipped", they are saying "Waiting for Pickup" to "Picked Up". Tracking seems to be updating correctly.

Same. Used USPS through Amazon buy shipping. Showed "waiting for pickup". After I had scanned at the post office counter it now says "picked up". Must be something new they implemented with again Amazon not telling us.

Same here. I'm assuming they're gearing up for some new metric they're going to create to make things more difficult for sellers when using FBM instead of FBA. Like if the carrier doesn't actually scan it in by midnight it's considered a late shipment.

Interesting development: My shipment that originally was marked "Waiting for Pickup" and then "Picked Up" after a UPS scan, is now marked "Delivered to Buyer." Honestly not bothered at all by this new system at the moment as long as it works consistently without any glitches that endanger my metrics.

Hi I noticed the same thing today with an order. I buy my shipping through Amazon and use the seller central app, however when I use the desktop version the order does not come up under any of the tabs in manage orders. I have to manually look it up with the order ID. Has anyone found where these orders show up without manually looking it up on desktop version.

Our local Post Office right around the time this started they reduced their daily trucks for outgoing pickup to 1 time per day early morning so if we take all our items in in the evening they will sit over night and will not get scanned in until following evening at the main distro and if this becomes and issue and we all know how stupid Amazon is only option is drop off at counter and have them scan every item, use alternative shipping service or best of all stop selling on Amazon!

This is what happens when you have big business like Amazon who strong arms shipping companies into lowering rates it eventually catches up and they start going out of business. Still remember the giant FBA boxes going ups and they were like $7 and years later UPS is struggling. Anyone who dances with the devil gets burned!
