SEVERE ONGOING BUYER ABUSE

A buyer has ordered our product 19 times and each time returned trash, sand, paper, unknown powdery substance and sticks to us. We have been reporting the buyer with the "buyer abuse" feature for several months but Amazon has done absolutely nothing about it. Each case we open tells us the same thing, use the buyer report feature. This needs to stop. The buyer uses FBA so we can't see their address to report to the authorities. We need help with this. Please we need reasonable mods to help and stop this abuse.

Thank you very much for your time and assistance. @Aria_Amazon @Xander_Amazon @Josh_Amazon @Joey_Amazon

Do you have a recent case number? This will help the MOD(s) if they jump in to help you.

You just described Amazons preferred customer as they see customers like this as someone who generates lots of transactions which Amazon profits on nothing will ever change on this platform and will only get worse the more sellers flee to other sites.

If they're returning FBA items, Amazon is evaluating the product before accepting it (unless you've opted out of this by requesting that all items be marked defective on every single return).

Assuming Amazon is evaluating the product returned, and accepting it anyway - you have a case for reimbursement and should bring this to seller support. You'll need detailed images of the box (unopened) the label on the box (legible), the LPN sticker on the returned item (legible), the contents inside the box (right after you open it), the contents received, and possibly images of what you were expecting to receive. If you have images or packing stills of what you sent to the buyer, send those too - this will only support your case. Gather all of this - open a case for reimbursement, and submit what is required. Save the rest for appealing if your reimbursement case is declined.

The buyer is doing this because it is being allowed and you're not being successful in your challenges. Don't start out the case talking about buyer fraud. Start out asking for reimbursement due to wrong item received. Focus on the reimbursement aspect only - you want to keep seller support focused on what you need.

Of course - report the buyer as well, those reports paired with the reimbursements will work faster than reports alone.

Good luck.

We had a similar issue a few years ago, and it went beyond simple fraud. A customer was returning tampered products that Amazon would then resell. As a result, we were forced to require that all returns be either disposed of or sent back to our warehouse. A policy we still follow today.

It became a major liability issue and amounted to a direct, targeted attack on our brand. We approached the situation by requesting contact under the premise of assisting the customer. It took patience. Once the customer was unmasked we could pursue legally.
