Instead of sending OTP codes for the Two-step verification we must use an authenticator app which you have to download on your phone. If you are over 40 and not very tech, copy now these links and save them, because AFTER you will no longer have access neither to your seller account nor to this forum. I also found a helpful video from Microsoft on youtube, v=NkIeFrosXmw.
Maybe I am a bit dumb, but it took me at least two hours to find out all this.

P.s. having thought of ‘bit dumb’ are a consequence to be constantly “gaslighting” in this marketplace.
Unless I am not reading the Amazon pages you provided links to, Amazon is discontinuing sending an email for 2-step verification.
But it says you can still receive a text or voice message to your phone for 2-step verification - unless you opt out and use an authenticator app.
The very top of the page says:
"Instead of receiving a code on your phone via text or voice call each time you sign in to your seller account, you can use an authenticator app to generate your authentication code. Authenticator apps do not require phone service or an Internet connection to work, but must be downloaded to whatever device or PC you choose."
Nothing says the authenticator app will be mandatory.
I think we need the mods to verify this for us.
I really dount this is true ...000s and 000s of accounts have been verified and noon has mentioned this AT ALL
I dont really understand what I am reading. Like which app do I download and if its just any app out of a few how do I connect that app to my amazon account

we have read your original text along with the linens and the video and all the conversations unfortunately we have not been able to install the program because it asks us for the OTP it says there is a way to activate it without logging into our account. please could you mention the way?
