Over the weekend a huge storm came though and dumped ice and snow. I put my store on vacation, on Saturday, but we had some come through on Friday after our cut-off time that are supposed to ship today. UPS and Fedex are not picking up or delivering today. Has anyone experienced this and how did you work through it? I don't trust USPS but will if I must If their offices are open).

If you go ahead and print your labels, it will show as being shipped on time and avoid a metric hit on shipping late; but since you won't get a real scan today, then you will end up losing all INR and OTDR protection.
Unless it's a lot of orders, or some very valuable ones, I would lean toward shipping late, especially considering the risk involved with getting to the Post Office (since it's too late to request a pickup). If FedEx and UPS are closed, you can be pretty sure that the roads are hazardous, and in many areas, people are urged to stay off the roads.
I agree with what picks by nisha said BUT amazon should COVER US FOR INR and OTDR on JAN 6th!!!
FOR US MIDWESTERNERS AND CENTRAL PLAINS PEOPLE WE KNOW WHAT WE HAVE GONE THROUGH THIS "J6" 2025 AND WE WILL NEVER FREAKING FORGET IF AMAZON DOES NOT HONOR THE FREAKING WEATHER!!!! NOTHING IS MOVING AT THE MOMENT YET THEY WILL PENALIZE US
I drove through a small blizzard to bring my packages to USPS, they were open.
USPS windows are open for drop offs. You have to go there. Also some UPS drop off locations are open. In my town I have a grocery store that does UPS drop offs and a small hardware store. Both are open for drop offs and your packages will get a scan. You just have to go there.
Thanks for the insight. Our local grocery store has a USPS office and I decided to use them and have everything marked and actually shipped. Naturally it cost me more.
We in last day got dozens of express orders to areas with weather event delays our guess is they customers know Amazon will give them the item free when they are late!
I've had many times where my pickup did not get scanned until after the "Ship By" date; or times like this week where it never even got picked up until the next day. It never shows as a "Late Shipment", but there is no INR or OTDR protection.
It would not surprise me if deeper down, there is something showing up, but the basic metrics, despite what Amazon help files show, do not show Late Shipment due to a late scan.
And just so that Florida gets covered for OTDR rates, the Post office will be closed until Friday.
RIP Jimmy!!!!
we spoke with account health. They notated our account so it would not be held against us. As our late ship rate is now 40 percent due to the storm.
