If the parent ASIN has no New listings and a Used item is in the Buy Box, when the Renewed listings join the parent ASIN will they have Buy Box priority over Used-Like New? If not, this is the death knell for Renewed Electronics sales.
Subject: Upcoming changes to Amazon Renewed offer listings
Hello,
This email provides an update for Amazon Renewed sellers on a new listing experience in our US store. Starting in late September, "Refurbished – Excellent" offers for electronics products, such as speakers and headphones, will be integrated onto the main product detail pages, alongside new and used offers.
We'll share the precise launch date with you soon to ensure you have at least 30 days' notice.
To help you plan for this change, go to Listing offers for refurbished electronics products and start evaluating any changes that may be needed to your operations.
Additionally, here are the steps to take once the new listing experience launches:
For existing offers, we'll automatically migrate or merge affected Renewed offers to main ASINs so you don’t have to do this manually. You can monitor your offers on Manage Inventory and make edits as needed.
For any new offers you intend to add after the launch date, you must use the "Refurbished" value for both the offer condition and sub-condition. If you don't find an option for adding the refurbished condition when you create your offer, contact Renewed seller support as detailed on our help page.
If you're restricted from listing any brand or ASIN for a refurbished offer, submit a selling application and select the condition type "Refurbished."
You're no longer required to create standalone ASINs for Renewed offers. If an ASIN that you intend to sell already exists in our catalog, simply add an offer on that listing using the "Refurbished" condition.
If the ASIN isn't available in our catalog, create a new ASIN using the List Your Products page. Do not use the "(Renewed)" suffix in the title when creating new ASINs.
Since our last update in March, we've conducted thorough reviews, analyzed seller feedback, and run experiments to ensure a seamless buying experience for customers. These efforts are helping customers choose the offer that best meets their unique preferences and will provide better visibility for your refurbished products.
The first phase of this launch will include only the "Refurbished – Excellent" offers for electronics products in the US store. Apple, Beats, and Renewed Premium products will be excluded from this phase.
The new listing experience will be rolled out using the "Refurbished" condition, which is distinct from the "Used" condition and remains a different tier of non-new selection.
