Time for a kinder, softer approach for important notifications...
I wake up and i see a CRITICAL event has occurred causing the account to be a risk of deactivation. Low and behold it is the ANNUAL regulatory compliance update. We deal with enough stress dealing with other issues ranging from false claims, TM, copyrights etc....but how about a "softer" notice instead of staying we screwed something up. How about, "Important update needed" and if someone ignores, then put up the critical notice. Amazon has been great but you dont have to come out hard for every notice. I can't be the only one that has chest pains when i see it.

I was just saying to someone else, selling on Amazon is not for the faint of heart at all. It's tricky. Policies change daily and they expect us to be on our toes pretty much 24/7. They no longer give second chances in most cases. I've had an at risk notice on my account for about a month now. Nothing I can do about it because it has to do with Voice Of The Customer, I only have one negative review, and there's not much I can do but hope to get some good reviews to counteract it. My best advice is to always keep your eyes on your account and fix any errors that come up as quickly as you can. I wish you the best of luck.

I experienced the same issue this afternoon when I logged in. This topic comes up in the forums every now and then.
I recall encountering this scare last year, so I didn't get too worried. Back then my heart sank when I saw the notification that a CRITICAL EVENT had occurred.
This is completely unnecessary. It shows a complete lack of caring. Amazon seems indifferent to us, the smaller sellers. Yes, they need us collectively, but as individual sellers, we are no more than a speck of dust...

1000x Agree. Amazon goes out of its way to be a ****.
Could simply send an email, post a notice, saying It's time for the annual compliance update. Please do this ...
Only if that is ignored should there be an event notice.
It's inexcusable.

Selling on Amazon is already a daily grind of anxiety, and suddenly seeing an account suspension warning is genuinely alarming!

Amazon's sole job is to keep you in fear of termination. These work very well for that.

That's actually what i was telling my bf about today!!! i was like why cant amazon nicely be like " hey time to update Inform act info, this is important, do it asap" instead of "YOU"RE GOING TO BE BANNED HOLY JHHFH THIS IS CRAZY WHAT ARE YOU DOING WE WILL DEACTIVATE RN IF YOU DONT DO SOMETHING EMERGENCY EMERGENCY EVERYBODY RUN FOR YOUR LIVES"

Yeah, they kinda have a Chicken Little approach with those messages. You’ll get used to ‘the sky is falling,’ notifications. Take a deep breath then take a step back. It’s usually never as bad as they make it out to be.

It doesn't really matter as soon as a amazon aligned company starts selling your products amazon will shadow ban you and stop all sales anyways. NEVER look at amazon as a place to make profit because you wont. The ONLY thing amazon is good for is building brand awareness. Look at it as advertising and make sure your breaking even.
