Usps shipping adjustments
So after 18 years here I received a shipping adjustment email
Here is what I don't get. The weight I put originally , is the same as the adjusted weight USPS put down , but for more money than amazon charged me.
And for returns , amazon didn't charge enough which matches the weight I entered, but I'm getting charged more than what amazon charged for the return label.
Then it says this current charge is for January to March , but when I go in transactions , the adjustments do not even come close to what I am being charged for them. There is nothing to match it to for the total
What is this new nonsense. Even the AI I brought everything into , has no clue.

It is time to start contacting our state AG's. This is fraudulent behavior because the reasons given are not accurate and information needed to address directly with USPS is being withheld by Amazon.

I'm seeing the history of it now as well. Amazon really needs to look into this badly as USPS is double dipping on the shipments.
I could be wrong but it seems that if we ship UPS ground with USPS doing the last mile. When USPS receives the item, they will scan and charge the full shipping path, then if there is a difference from what we paid they will charge that discrepancy.

Were these orders placed shortly after the July 12 USPS increase?
Amazon was undercharging us for AT LEAST 10 days after the change...the ORDER PAGE shows the correct rate, but if you look at your transactions, you will see they may have actually undercharged you:

I would suggest sellers to check your payment page and see all the adjustments made to your account. You will be surprised...
I realized that Amazon has being quietly adjusting shipments made in July and August with UPS to the tune of around extra $15 for shipping labels that were priced at around $7. There was no email regarding this, but it is happening.
I opened a couple of cases.
I requested proof of incorrect shipping measurements/weight and mentioned that this retroactive charges look like FALSE ADVERTISING (because shipping prices are not estimates and we buy shipping based on price).
Now this second case is being investigated further.
Is this issue being discussed on Social Media platforms?

We got the same email today for labels purchased 1/1/26 through 3/31/26. After March we stopped using buy-shipping completely. The whole thing is a scam/racket. 0 transparency, no way to dispute the charges like there is on other platforms and legally there should be a way to dispute each and every one. Do not use buyshipping!. There is no proof these adjustments do not go into amazons overseas pockets, talk about money laundering. They can say all they want about it going to the carriers but they can't show any proof. They have a lot of answering to do. How can they go back 9 months and then claim something nearly a year later and take/charge money. We were fortunate in that it wasn't a huge amount but its the principle of the matter and the shady dealings this company is getting away with, someone has to get on this.

We got the same email. When we see an order that has an adjustment attached to it that was charged to us in august. It shows the orders were shipped in July right after the USPS price change on July 12th. This should not be any sellers fault for a glitch in the system. It still says i paid $7.60 for a label now i owe a $1.80 on top?
