Read onlyRecently, when we launched new products, we received multiple malicious negative reviews from a competitor, YBW. We have finally gathered evidence of their unethical practices:
1. Incentivizing Positive Reviews: The manager of the YBW brand sent an email to a customer, asking them to buy YBW batana oil and promising a $5 reward in return. This tactic is used to artificially boost the sales ranking of their listing. Please see the attached image (1.jpg) for reference.
2. Manipulating Sales Rankings: In the email, the YBW manager provided a product link (http://amzn.to/3K4pTva) and the ASIN (B0D1VWZXDX) for their YBW Raw Batana Oil. This is clear evidence that YBW is manipulating the sales ranking of their products on Amazon.
3. Soliciting Negative Reviews Against Competitors: The YBW manager also contacted the same customer, offering a $20 reward to leave a 1-star review or rating for competing batana oil products. Please see the attached image (2.jpg) for evidence.
We have observed many new product listings being attacked in a similar manner. Amazon needs to take action to eliminate these unethical sellers from the platform.
Yes, that's just disgusting. Life will punish him, and hopefully Amazon's AI will too.
Amazon is crazy. It used to be flooded with manipulated positive reviews, and now it's inundated with manipulated negative ones. It's interesting to see how human behavior unfolds on the platform.
Wow, I can't believe people are resorting to these tricks on Amazon to compete, scam customers, and knock out their competition. Amazon really needs to step in and sort this out. Otherwise, how are we supposed to keep the playing field fair and square?
@SEAmod @Jim_Amazon @Micah_Amazon how long is this account going to stay open? Nicobobo...
aaaand.. THIS IS WHY the rating system needs a major overhaul. 5 stars after 30 days if no user input, 3 stars and below require comment and have contacted seller 1st!
Sorry this is happening to you.
Unethical sellers still provide profit to Amazon, they have ZERO incentive to remove them from our experience.
When will Amazon address these malicious behaviors? Will they only take action after media coverage? I understand your frustration. Please be patient.
Many bad practices from Chinese e-commerce are continuously infiltrating the Amazon platform. Amazon needs to take action; otherwise, it will become a platform for counterfeit products and a collection of various dirty practices. @SEAmod
Yeah, there's going to be a LOT of that in your time here, assuming you don't get pushed off the platform by bad actors or a poorly written Amazon 'bot. Good luck ... you will need it.
I really dislike this kind of behavior.
