Hi sellers,

It's September, which means Q4 is right around the corner. Whether this is your first peak season or your tenth, the next few weeks are when critical decisions happen. Your lived experiences navigating Q4 are incredibly valuable, and we'd love to hear them.

So let’s open it up:

If you could write a guide for navigating peak season, what would be in it?

  • 📦 How do you prepare? — What does your Q4 prep process actually look like? How do you decide what to stock, how much to order, and when to ship it in? Do you have a system, or has it been trial and error?
  • 😅 What mistakes have you made along the way? — We've all been there. Maybe you overstocked on a product that didn't move, underestimated shipping times, or missed a key deadline. What would you do differently this year?
  • 💡 Any game changers or "aha" moments? — Was there a tool, strategy, or piece of advice that made a real difference in your Q4 results last year? Something that clicked and changed how you approach peak season?
  • 🆕 First-timers — If this is your first Q4 on Amazon, what's your biggest question or concern right now? Drop it below and let the community help.

Your experiences, wins, AND lessons are exactly what makes this community so useful. What worked for you might be the thing another seller needs to hear right now.

Let's hear it! 👇

Usps shipping adjustments
by Seller_ZWJu6SC7QqWWD
Amazon replied

So after 18 years here I received a shipping adjustment email

Here is what I don't get. The weight I put originally , is the same as the adjusted weight USPS put down , but for more money than amazon charged me.

And for returns , amazon didn't charge enough which matches the weight I entered, but I'm getting charged more than what amazon charged for the return label.

Then it says this current charge is for January to March , but when I go in transactions , the adjustments do not even come close to what I am being charged for them. There is nothing to match it to for the total

What is this new nonsense. Even the AI I brought everything into , has no clue.

Another holiday morning surprise from amazon. Yayyyyyy......not

Got this email tonight. I've had no returns in 2026 so that's not a reason. My return address isn't incorrect because It has not changed since the day I signed up on Amazon so that's not a reason. I have 1 package type I use when I ship through Amazon's buy shipping it's a flat 7" x 5" mailer that weighs 4 oz. The dimensions and weight never change so that's not a reason.

The only reason I can come up with is Amazon, and this happens frequently, is always behind on getting their buy shipping rates synced up with USPS rates and there were a bunch of small shortages on the cost that added up during this time frame, due to Amazons fault for not getting things set up right on time. These types of adjustments Amazon should have to eat as it is their system printing labels with the incorrect amounts. Granted it's overall a small amount for that 3 month period, but sellers should not be responsible for Amazons lack of preparedness when they have a very long time in advance to bake in the correct rates and on go day they can just turn them on in an instant, but I have noticed sometimes Amazon goes weeks before they catch up on new rates. Do better Amazon__________________________________________________________________________________________

Hello,

USPS assessed shipping correction charges totaling -19.92 on Fulfilled by Merchant labels you purchased on Buy Shipping between 01_01_2026 and 03_31_2026. You'll be charged for these corrections between 09_07_2026 and 09_10_2026.

USPS applies these charges when the dimensions or weight of a package don't match the label, or when your return address is incorrect or invalid. These charges may not appear in the same settlement period as the original shipment.

View your charges: Go to your Payments Dashboard. In Transaction View, filter by Shipping services purchased through Amazon, then search for "Adjustment" in the Product Details column.

Avoid future correction charges: Confirm that your products' dimensions, weight, and return address are listed correctly in Seller Central.

For more information, go to Carrier shipping correction charges.

Well, we rode the wave as long as possible. We got by using mostly the traditional wholesaler to retailer method in Toys followed by Board Games. I'm also happy to say we did it with almost zero dollars in purchased ads. It has just reached the point where we can no longer replace lost revenue from restricted brands with new ones.

We started so long ago that we had to operate two different selling accounts, one for media/video games and another non-media @Merchants account. And for anyone who remembers the OLD forums, we usually posted under nextgen gamer, which was our original account before we were given our Merchants@ account.

It has been a wild ride. The most memorable one has to be the Zhu Zhu Pets fiasco, which I really believe was the event that made the top level executives completely flip how the Featured Merchants section operated. And as the prices fell in the Featured Merchant category, so did the cachet and quality of the sellers in it.

I understand times change, but I really miss the sense of community we had in the old forums. You could sense who was posting/replying just by the tone. There were definitely cliques as well and again that made it feel real. And the poor souls who would ask where to buy their inventory - they were picked apart by wolves LOL!

So while I wish we could have gone on for another 10-15 years, I'm more than satisfied and ready to move on to wherever that is. Thank you to Amazon and of course all my fellow sellers, you will be missed!

Everyone should check their FEEDBACK page to see if there have been any deleted Feedback entries.

We strive for Excellent Customer Service, and as such, usually experience approx. 3-4 Positive Feedback entries per month, with a Negative Feedback approx. 1 per year (and always underserved too).

FEEDBACK is one of the many Amaozn pages I check on a regular basis, and so I was shocked to discover that at some point this afternoon Amazon DELETED the most recent SIX MONTHS of Feedback we had received, which was literally PAGES of Positive Feedback.

I have created a Case on Amazon, but there is NO GOOD REASON why Amazon should be Deleting Feedback entries UNLESS the removal is requested, and even then, they ONLY Remove Feedback under very specific "Amazon Rules" (of which actual provable REALITY is NOT a factor), but WHY would Amazon delete pages of Positive Feedback entries?

We work VERY HARD to "EARN" these Positive Feedback Entries, and they are WONDERFUL Advertising for our Business.

Amazon, WHY did you do this?

Can you PLEASE RESTORE THESE FEEDBACK ENTRIES?

Hi everyone,

I recently got approval to sell a product where Amazon itself is currently the only seller, and Amazon is selling it for $44.90. I’m now considering sending my inventory to FBA and selling the same product.

My main question is: how much lower than Amazon’s $44.90 price would I need to price my product to get the Buy Box? Would $1–$2 lower be enough, or would I need to go $3–$4 lower?

Also should i get the professional selling plan to have a better chance of winning the buy box since i plan to sell this product through FBA?

And finally, would you recommend selling a product like this, where Amazon itself is currently the only seller, or is it too risky to compete directly with Amazon?

I’d really appreciate advice from sellers who have experience with this.

Amazon Damages Health Score for Lower Sales
by Seller_2ocdeVST6pSqj

Really fed up with how they do this and ready to file a complaint with the better business bureau. Within just one day the health account score nose dived 10 whole points in grade just because there were lower sales volume in the previous 180 days. So what!!! Total idiocy, Everything is at 100% perfect on ODT and valid tracking, no open violations etc. no chargebacks etc etc..........yet they stupidly grade businesses and sellers so heavily over something as trivial as sales volume fluctuating. That's infuriating, and legally they should not be allowed to do it this way. I wouldn't complain over two or three point drop, but 10!!! And yet there is no way to dispute it the agent said. This mess has to change on here. They can not grade that heavily for something that naturally fluctuates, there's something not right about all of this.
