The majority of Amazon customers purchase the Featured Offer (Buy Box) on the Product Detail
page. Offers may be ineligible to be featured when they are not priced competitively
compared to other retailers outside of Amazon (the Competitive Price). The Compare
Prices Off Amazon feature, available when either creating a
Competitive Buy Box rule or a Competitive Lower Price rule, allows you to
automatically match the Competitive Price and increase your chance of being featured
in the Buy Box and grow your sales on Amazon.
Here are a few examples of how this feature works:
-
For an offer repriced by a
Match Buy Box rule with Compare Prices Off Amazon selected:
-
If your current offer price is $12, the Competitive
Price is $10 and the Featured Offer on Amazon is $11, then your offer
will be repriced at $10 to match the Competitive Price.
-
If your current offer price is $8 , the Competitive
Price is $12 and there are no other offers below $12 on Amazon, then
your offer will be repriced at $12 to match the Competitive
Price.
-
For an offer repriced by a $0.10 Higher than Buy Box with Compare Prices
Off Amazon selected:
-
If your current offer price is $10, the Competitive
Price is $13 and the Featured Offer on Amazon is $12, then your offer
will be repriced at $12.10 to stay $0.10 above the Featured Offer
price.
-
For an offer repriced by a Lowest Price rule with Compare Prices Off Amazon selected:
-
If your current offer price is $20, the Competitive Price is $18 and the
Lowest Price on Amazon is $19, then your offer will be repriced at $18
to match the Competitive Price.
You can track competitive price triggers through the Price History link accessible from the Manage SKUs page of Automate Pricing.
Note: Selecting this feature does not guarantee that you will be the Featured Offer. You can choose to turn on or off this rule attribute at any time.
