What is an infant bedside sleeper?

An infant bedside sleeper is a bassinet intended to provide sleeping space for an infant up to an approximate age of five months or, when a child begins to push up on hands and knees. The bedside sleeper is made to be secured to the side of an adult bed, for the purposes of having the infant sleep in close proximity to an adult.

What is Amazon’s policy on selling infant bedside sleepers in the United States?

If you are selling infant bedside sleepers, you may be asked to provide documents to confirm the safety of your products. Amazon requires documentation that indicates testing compliance with standards or regulations for each product you are applying to sell.

Note: You certify that all materials you submit are true, authentic, and accurate. Amazon may remove your selling privileges for failing to meet these safety requirements.

What information do I need to provide to Amazon when requested?

Amazon’s policies require that infant bedside sleepers sold through the Amazon website meet the certification standards required by law. Have the following documents available at all times. If Amazon contacts you, please submit the following information to child-safety@amazon.com:

  1. Company Name
  2. Seller ID/Vendor ID
  3. Email Address
  4. Phone Number
  5. A list of ASINs you are applying to sell
  6. Product manuals for all the Infant Bedside Sleeper ASINs you are applying to sell
  7. Product images. Images must include all relevant:
    • Safety information
    • Compliance marking
    • Product hazard warnings
  8. A Children’s Product Certificate (CPC) for the ASINs you are applying to sell
  9. Test reports from a CPSC-accepted lab confirming that each product was tested to the requirements

What will happen if I do not follow Amazon’s policy on selling infant bedside sleepers?

If you do not provide the required information, Amazon may:

  • Cancel your listing
  • Suspend your listing privileges
  • Suppress your ASIN(s)

Amazon reserves the right to take any further actions that are necessary and to make judgements in its sole discretion about whether or not a listing is appropriate.

How do I request product removal from Amazon Fulfilment Centers?

If you are unable or unwilling to appeal the suppression on your ASIN(s), you have 30 days to create removal orders on your products from our fulfillment centers. Please visit the following help pages for more information:
