Typically, when customers search or browse the Amazon website to look for clothing, they are interested in clothing that are proper fit for them. Two of the more common attributes they use to select what they want are the size and color of the product.
To easily find products that match the size and color, customers can use the Size and Color navigation feature of the website. When a customer chooses a size or color, only products with that size or color attribute will appear, which can help the customer selection much easier by eliminating variations that do not match. If your products do not currently have color or size data, provide this information so you can make it even easier for customers to find your products in their preferred size and color.
The Size and Color navigation feature works as follows:
All Apparel products have "Shop by Color" enabled. Customers can shop using the following standard navigation colors: Beige, Black, Blue, Brown, Clear, Gold, Gray, Green, Ivory, Multi, Orange, Pink, Purple, Red, Silver, White, or Yellow.
If you use a Color or SizeColor variation relationships, the value provided in the color field of the template are mapped to one of these navigation colors. If you want to guarantee that your particular color maps to a specific navigation color, specify that navigation color in the colormap field. For example, you can map "Ivory Taupe" to Beige using the colormap field.
If you do not use a Color or SizeColor variation relationship, you can use the colormap field to define which navigation color customers can use to select your product.
Selected clothing types have "Shop by Size" enabled. Depending on the category, customers can shop by waist size, inseam, cup size, and so on.
