A returnless resolution takes place when you issue a refund or replacement and let buyer keep the product. You can either automatically issue a returnless refund/replacement via rules you define, or you can work with the buyer via messaging for a specific return. There are two ways to configure returnless resolutions:
Offer returnless resolutions for returns that meet certain criteria
Go to Settings in Seller Central and then click Return Settings.
Click the Returnless resolution tab.
Click Add new rule, enter the price range, optionally select the product categories and reasons for return, and then click Save. The newly configured rule will apply to all orders from that time forward.
To edit an existing rule, click on the rule, select Edit, modify the settings, and click Save.
To delete a returnless resolution rule, click on the rule, click Delete, and confirm that you want the rule deleted.
Note: All orders placed while a rule was active will still have the rule applied.
Offer returnless resolutions for specific SKUs
You can also offer returnless resolutions for specific products in your inventory.
Go to the Returns settings page and then click Manage Return Templates.
Download the Returnless resolution template and follow the instructions in the file.
Indicate the Returnless resolutions exemption reason code.
Once you have completed the ReturnlessResolution tab in the template, ensure that no Excel filters are applied, and then save the template. Save as an Excel workbook file in an accessible location on your computer. This will allow you to make changes after uploading the template.
Save the template as a tab delimited (*.txt) file in order to upload the file. Ensure the ReturnlessResolution is the tab displayed before you save.
Note: The returnless resolution request will not go through properly if you save and upload any other tab.
Go to your Return Settings page and then clickManage Return Templates.
Upload your the file on the Returnless resolution tab delimited (*.txt) file that you saved before.
To see which SKUs you have enabled returnless resolutions for, download the Exemptions report in your Return reports. Click View reports to generate a one-time report. For more information, go to Request exemption from automatic return approvals.
Effective May 25, 2021, if you are fulfilling customer orders in the US from outside the US, you must provide Amazon with a valid US return address (for items under $25). Amazon will use this address to generate prepaid return labels for customers on eligible return requests. If a US return address is not provided, Amazon will issue the customer a refund for eligible returns without requiring the item to be returned (Returnless Refund). Our International Returns Provider on the Solution Provider Network
may be able to help if you do not have a local return address.
