Manage Quotes

Note: These features are only available to sellers in the Amazon Business Seller Program .

There are two ways for Amazon Business customers to request special pricing on bulk purchases:

  • Request for Quantity Discount
  • Custom Quote

Request for Quantity Discount

Amazon Business customers can request a quantity discount on a specific ASIN by clicking the Buying in bulk? link on the product detail page. They then submit the number of units that they would like to purchase. All Amazon Business sellers offering the ASIN will receive a request with the details of the request. Sellers can respond to these requests through the Requests for items that you sell tab on the Manage Quotes page. Once a discount has been set, it is available to all Amazon Business customers. To increase your chances of making a sale and growing your business on Amazon, set a discount by the Respond by date.

You can also choose to download a list of up to 1000 customer requests by clicking Generate downloadable report. The report can take up to 5 minutes to process, and includes several columns for every request. Custom Quote

Custom Quote allows Amazon Business customers to buy products in bulk (500 units or more, or $10K deal value or more) and negotiate pricing and quantity with a trusted network of suppliers to get more favorable deals.

Amazon Business customers, whose needs are not met with existing Amazon bulk offers, can provide details such as quantity, target price, desired delivery date, and when they need the quote by. Amazon will collect this information and send to sellers participating in the Custom Quote program. Sellers can then view and respond to the requests on the Manage Orders page in B2B Central. Sellers can choose to offer a quote or ignore the request if they cannot meet the buyer’s criteria.

Frequently Asked Questions

How can I be notified when a business customer requests a quantity discount on an ASIN that I sell?

All Amazon Business sellers are automatically signed up for email notifications for requests. You will receive an email whenever a business customer requests a quantity discount on an ASIN that you sell.

If you would like to unsubscribe from these email notifications, simply click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email.

Note: For Custom Quote, you will not receive an email notification, only an action card notice on your Seller Central homepage.

How can I update the email address where I receive notifications?

You can update your email address through the Change email preference link on the top right corner of the Requests for items you sell tab. The Change email preference link will take you to the notifications page where you can edit the email settings for Manage Quotes email notifications.

Why do I see duplicate customer requests on the Manage quotes page?

You might see multiple requests from the same customer if you have multiple SKUs on the same ASIN.

Are my existing quantity discounts already available to customers who send me a new request?

Yes, your existing discounts are already available to all Amazon Business customers. However, you can update your discounts via the Manage Quotes page if you wish to better accommodate the customer request.

If I already have five quantity discount tiers on an SKU, can I add more?

You can only add five quantity discount tiers on a single SKU. If you would like to offer a new quantity discount, you can edit one of the existing tiers.

Can I respond to customer requests on a mobile device?

Yes, you can respond to customer requests using the mobile app. However, requests responded to using the app will still show as Response needed when viewing them on a desktop device.

What do I do in case the Custom Quote request is above the existing 999 cart limit?

You will have to create a new case-pack ASIN using the one-by-one method. You can either offer a single unit case-pack for the total requested quantity, or offer multiple units of a case-pack which add up to the total requested quantity. For example, if a customer wants 1500 widgets, you can make a case pack of 30 units for the customer to purchase 50 case packs, or 1 case pack of 1500 units).

What shipping template do I use for Custom Quote?

You will have to create an additional shipping template which includes the free shipping option. Do not enable the 2 days shipping option for the Customer on the shipping template for a Custom Quote request.
