Who should submit documents?

If you are contacted by Amazon, you must provide documents to confirm the safety of your products. Amazon requires certain documentation that indicates testing compliance with standards or regulations for each product you are applying to sell.

How do I request approval to sell Eclipse Glasses and Filters?

Amazon’s policies require that eclipse glasses and filters sold through the Amazon website meet specified certification standards. If you are contacted by Amazon, please submit the following information to pq-seller-documentation@amazon.com:


  1. Company name
  2. Your Seller ID/Vendor ID
  3. Email address
  4. Phone number
  5. A list of ASINs you are applying to sell
  6. Product Images and Manuals, as applicable (images should include all relevant safety information, compliance markings, and small parts and choking hazard warnings)
  7. For solar eclipse glasses, test reports from an ILAC ISO 17025 certified laboratory confirming each product was tested to the requirements listed below:

  8. Both solar eclipse glasses and solar filtersmust either provide:
    1. Confirmation that you are the manufacturer of the products, or
    2. Copies of invoices from your supplier issued in the last 365 days, which reflect your sales volume.
    Note: Invoices specifically for solar filters for cameras, binoculars and telescopes, the invoice must demonstrate the inventory was purchased from one of the following:

    1. Alpine Astronomical
    2. Astro-Physics, Inc.
    3. Baader Planetarium
    4. Celestron
    5. DayStar Filters
    6. Galileo Optics (Division of Cosmo Brands, Inc.)
    7. ICSTARS
    8. iOptron
    9. Kendrick Astro Instruments
    10. Marumi / Argraph Corp.
    11. Meade Instruments
    12. MrStarGuy / Vixen
    13. Orion Telescopes & Binoculars
    14. Rainbow Symphony
    15. Seymour Solar
    16. Spectrum Telescope
    17. Thousand Oaks Optical
