Eclipse glasses and filters for solar viewing

Important: If you supply products for sale on Amazon, you must comply with all federal, state, and local laws and Amazon policies applicable to those products and product listings.

As part of our ongoing efforts to provide the best possible customer experience, Amazon has implemented safety requirements for all filters for solar viewing offered on the site.

Please submit the following information to from the email address associated with your Amazon account:

  1. Company name
  2. Your Seller ID/Vendor ID
  3. Email address
  4. A list of solar viewing ASINs that you are applying to sell
  5. For solar eclipse glasses, a document from a nationally recognized testing laboratory that confirms that your product was tested according to the standard ISO 12312-2: 2015 (“Eye and face protection – Sunglasses and related eyewear– Part 2: Filters for direct observation of the sun”). This applies to solar eclipse glasses, but not other solar filters for cameras, binoculars and telescopes.
  6. Either provide:
    1. Confirmation that you are the manufacturer of the products, or
    2. Copies of invoices from your supplier issued in the last 365 days, which reflect your sales volume.
    If you are applying to list solar filters for cameras, binoculars and telescopes, the invoice must demonstrate the inventory was purchased from one of the following:
    1. Alpine Astronomical
    2. Astro-Physics, Inc.
    3. Baader Planetarium
    4. Celestron
    5. DayStar Filters
    6. Galileo Optics (Division of Cosmo Brands, Inc.)
    7. ICSTARS
    8. iOptron
    9. Kendrick Astro Instruments
    10. Marumi / Argraph Corp.
    11. Meade Instruments
    12. MrStarGuy / Vixen
    13. Orion Telescopes & Binoculars
    14. Rainbow Symphony
    15. Seymour Solar
    16. Spectrum Telescope
    17. Thousand Oaks Optical

The following listed labs might be able to help you with testing:

  1. NRTLs

  3. ILAC or MRA certified laboratories
