Amazon's listing policies require all fire and smoke masks to be certified to the OSHA 29 CFR 1910.134 standard and/or the ASTM E2952-14 standard. Amazon defines these products as follows:
"Fire and smoke masks" are air-purifying respiratory protective smoke escape devices (RPEDs), including air-purifying respirators used to protect a person while escaping from a fire by removing certain contaminants of fire-generated products of combustion from the inhaled air. Such products may use a filter, cartridge, canister, sorbent, or catalyst (or combination of these items) to remove such contaminants.
