Selling carrier branded phones

Amazon limits the addition of new ASINs for Carrier branded phones in other categories to ensure that customers are able to buy with confidence. Sellers should add carrier branded phones only in the Cell Phones with Service Plans category.

  • The listing title should be in this format <Brand> <Model Name/Number> <Size> < Color> (<Carrier>). For example, "Samsung Galaxy S6 32GB Black (ATT)" is the correct way of representing the phone.
  • Item_type in the template should be "cell-phones-with-service-plans."
  • Carrier branded phones that are unlocked or contract free should also be listed in the Cell Phones with Service Plans category as long as any kind of carrier branding is present in the phone. If your offer is an unlocked or contract free phone that is carrier branded, ensure you mention the same in the Condition Note field.
  • Under the Description tab, in the Bullet Point field do not mention "contract free" or "unlocked" as the status of your carrier branded product.
  • All Carrier branded phone products must be listed using the manufacturer's UPC code. For more information on UPC requirements, go to Product UPCs and GTINs. If you do not have UPCs, go to How to list products that do not have a GTIN.
