Set up variations for Big and Little listings

In order to set up variations for your Big and Little listings, please follow these steps:

Step 1: Partially update all your items to include "Big" or "Little" in the title

  1. Download the appropriate category template for your product.
  2. Enter your product's SKU in the parent-SKU field. Add all the subsequent children under the parent.
  3. Partially update the column "update_delete" by entering the value "PartialUpdate" for the parent and child. Make sure to include either the word "Big" or "Little" in the Product Name field.
  4. You must enter the Brand Name and Department Name for your product. We also would highly recommend entering the Item Type Keyword (ITK), images, bullet points, and the product description at this time. You can find the ITK for your product in the Clothing & Accessories Browse Tree Guide.
  5. Save the file as a tab delimited file.
  6. Upload the file to Seller Central.

Step 2: Delete the current parent SKU for your product

  1. Download the appropriate category template for your product.
  2. Fill in the SKU of the parent that you want to remove, and enter "delete" in the "update_delete" column. This will remove it from your inventory.
  3. Save as a tab delimited file.
  4. Upload the file to Seller Central.

We highly recommend waiting 24 hours after removing this SKU before continuing to Steps 3 and 4.

    Example:

You sell Donavan’s Christmas Pajamas for girls and want to create Big and Little listings. Your goal is to create two separate Parent listings: Donavan’s Christmas Little Girl Pajamas and Donavan’s Christmas Big Girl Pajamas.

In your inventory template, create two separate parents: Donavan’s Christmas Little Girl Pajamas and Donavan’s Christmas Big Girl Pajamas.

Include all the regular sizes, such as 7, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, under the parent for Big Girls. Include all the toddler sizes, such as 2T, 3T, under the parent for Little Girls.

Your listings should look like this:

    1. Parent: Donavan's Christmas Little Girls Pajamas
      1. Child: Donavan's Christmas Little Girls Pajamas Toddler 2
      2. Child: Donavan's Christmas Little Girls Pajamas Toddler 3
    2. Parent: Donavan's Christmas Big Girls Pajamas
      1. Child: Donavan's Christmas Big Girls Pajamas 7
      2. Child: Donavan's Christmas Big Girls Pajamas 8
