Compliance Reference tool

The Compliance Reference tool is designed to help sellers navigate their compliance obligations and stay up-to-date on changing requirements. Search compliance content using keyword or product type, then see providers who can assist you with fulfilling the associated requirements. Help content is provided for informational purposes only.

To search compliance policy for a product, go to Compliance Reference or Find your products in Amazon's catalog. Click Compliance self-assessment then click Confirm to comply with the disclaimer.

  1. In the Compliance Reference tool, choose the following:
    • In Where is your product shipping from, select the country from the drop-down menu.
    • In Where do you want to sell, select the country from the drop-down menu.
  2. Search using keyword or product type and select a keyword from the drop-down menu, then click Search.
    Note: If you receive an error "no related product type found," try a new keyword from the dropdown list.
  3. Select a product type from the product type classifier. Check the product type definition and click the View Help content button.
    Note: If the product is prohibited for sale on Amazon, then the View Help content button is grayed out.
  4. To view requirements, click View Help content.
  5. On the View requirement page, click the Product compliance tab.
  6. Choose service providers to assist you by selecting the preferred country or region from the table, or from the Country drop-down menu.
  7. In the Service provider pool, click Create report.
  8. Click to download the PDF or print the report.

You can get service providers’ contact information from the report as well as Help content. If you need service providers for a compliance solution, contact them directly

Next, go to the Dangerous goods compliance tab.


  1. Select the attribute applicable to your product, and click Search. You will see a Requirements table containing attributes for your goods.
  2. Choose service providers to assist you by selecting the preferred country or region from the table, or from the Country drop-down menu.
  3. In Service provider pool, click Create report.
  4. Click to download PDF or print the report.

You can get service providers’ contact information from the report as well as Help content. If you need service providers for a compliance solution, contact them directly.

Note: If the “Where is your product shipping from?” and “Where do you want to sell?” are the same country, then click create the report directly. If the “Where is your product shipping from?” and “Where do you want to sell?” are different countries, go back to the home page and complete steps 2-8.


  1. Click the Export trade Compliance tab. You can also change Ship from information in the drop-down menu.
  2. Choose service providers to assist you by selecting the preferred country or region from the table, or from the Country drop-down menu.
  3. Next, click the Import trade compliance tab. You can also change Ship from information here.
  4. Choose service providers to assist you by selecting the preferred country or region from the table, or from the Country drop-down menu.
  5. In Service provider pool, click Create report.
  6. Click to download PDF or print the report.

You can get service providers’ contact information from the report as well as Help content. If you need service providers for a compliance solution, contact them directly.
