Selling Apparel products

For each item sold in Amazon stores, sellers pay a referral fee calculated on the total sales price (the total amount paid by the buyer including the item price and any shipping or gift wrapping charge), excluding any tax collected through Amazon tax calculation services. The Apparel category has a referral fee of 17% of a product's sales proceeds (with a minimum fee of $0.30 per sale). Sellers who participate in Fulfillment by Amazon also pay apparel-specific fulfillment fees.

The Apparel fee category contains product types including:

  • Wearable clothing items and accessories such as belts, ties, socks, hats, scarfs, ear muffs, and gloves
  • Adult and children’s costumes and accessories such as masks and ear coverings
  • Baby apparel
  • Sports activewear such as running socks, yoga pants, and sports uniforms

Note: Inclusion in the Apparel fee category does not determine where a product appears on the Amazon retail site.

The Apparel fee category does not contain product types such as pet apparel, technical gear (for example, wetsuits), or helmets.
