A Lightning Deal is a time-bound, promotional offer where an item
is featured for a limited number of hours, usually 4 to 12 hours (as
determined by Amazon), on the Amazon Deals page. Featuring an
item as a Lightning Deal may help increase sales and reduce your inventory.

A 7-day Deal is a time-bound, promotional offer where an item is featured for a limited number of days on the Amazon Deals page.
To be eligible for deals,
you must be a Professional Seller with at least five Seller Feedback Ratings
per month and an overall rating of at least 3.5-stars. Additionally,
products must meet these criteria:
Have a sales history
in Amazon stores and at least a 3-star rating.
Include as many variations as possible.
Not be a restricted product or offensive, embarrassing or inappropriate
Be Prime eligible in all
Be in New condition.
Be compliant with customer product reviews policies.

Be compliant with pricing policies and have a valid reference price. For more information, go to Show a reference price on your products and Amazon Policy on Reference Prices.
Be compliant with deal frequency policies. To know more, go to Create a Deal.
Note: If your product is approved for a deal and then it violates the above criteria, your deal will be canceled immediately and you might not be eligible for a refund of your deal fees and all future deal eligibility may be removed indefinitely.
You can create two types of deals: Lightning Deal and 7-day Deal.
If you meet the criteria for a
In the Deals dashboard, click Create a new deal.
Select a product in your inventory and click
Enter the Schedule, and click
Continue to next step.
For Lightning Deals, enter Deal price or
Discount per unit, and
Minimum deal quantity.
For 7-day Deals, enter Deal price or Discount per unit for each product.
Note: You will also need to choose the main product whose image will be featured on the Deals page. This image must be complaint with our deal image policy or all deal eligibility will be removed.
Click Continue to next step.
Click Submit Deal.
How can I become eligible?
Currently, only Professional Sellers are eligible to run deals. Here's how you can upgrade.

Eligible products are automatically
displayed in the Eligible ASINs section of the
Deals Dashboard when they meet the following criteria
(subject to change based on country and time of year):
Quality: Products must have
a sales history in Amazon stores and at least a 3-star rating.
Product variations: Deals
should include as many product variations as possible (for example, size, color,
and style). For some products, such as clothing and shoes, at least 65% of variations should be included in the deal. The pre-determined
minimum percentage of product variations is specified when you create the deal.
Category: Restricted products and products that are offensive, embarrassing or otherwise inappropriate are not eligible. Examples of ineligible items include e-cigarettes, alcohol, adult products, medical devices, medicines and baby formula.
Fulfillment method: Products must be Prime-eligible in all states
including Puerto Rico. You can choose either Fulfilment by Amazon (FBA) or
Seller Fulfilled Prime in Shipping Settings.
Condition: Only items in
New Condition are eligible for deals.
Rating: You must receive a minimum of five ratings per month and have
at least an overall 3.5-star rating.
Return Rate: Products with high return rates will be
ineligible for deals.
Note: Because of other criteria that Amazon is unable
to disclose, it is possible that certain ASINs may not receive a
recommendation although they meet the criteria listed above.
You can choose to Create a Deal from the list of eligible ASINs in the
Select Products tab of the Deals
Dashboard. Eligible ASINs are refreshed every week, so an eligible
ASIN you see this week may not necessarily be there next week.
