Made in Italy
Sellers who would like to offer products in the storefront dedicated to Made in Italy
products must meet the eligibility requirements specified below in order to ensure
high-quality standards and to meet and maintain buyers’ expectations regarding the
origin and the quality of the products.
Read the list of eligibility requirements carefully and if you believe that you meet all
of them, you can submit a request for approval to sell your products in this storefront
by clicking the Request approval button at the bottom of the
page.
Requirements for selling in the artisanal section of the Made in Italy store

The products featured in the artisanal section of the Made in Italy store must be
handcrafted or produced in limited quantities, made entirely in Italy or have
undergone their last economically justified substantial work or modification in Italy
in accordance with all the applicable legal requirements that govern the use of the
"Made in Italy" label.

The products listed and marketed as "100% Made in Italy" must be designed,
manufactured and packaged exclusively in Italy and must comply with all the legal
requirements relating to the use of the "100% Made in Italy" denomination of
origin.

The products must be new; the sale of used or refurbished products is not permitted
on this storefront.

The products must belong to one of the categories available on Amazon
.com and must meet the specific requirements for the relevant product category (e.g.
image requirements).
Requirements for selling in the Gourmet food and Wine section of the Made in Italy
store

The products featured in the Gourmet Food and Wine section of the Made in Italy
store must bear protected designation of origin (PDO, IGP, DOCG) certification
recognised by a safeguarding consortium (e.g. the Parmigiano-Reggiano Cheese
Consortium, the Pasta di Gragnano Consortium) or be selected by specialised Made in
Italy food and wine operators (e.g. Vinitaly).

The products must be new; the sale of used or refurbished products is not permitted
on this storefront.

The products must belong to one of the categories available on
Amazon.com and must meet the specific requirements for the relevant product category
(e.g. image requirements).
Seller Requirements

The seller account must be active and in good standing.

You must be able to provide certificates or other suitable documentation or
information in order to certify that your products are “Made in Italy” and/or are
“100% Made in Italy” (e.g. certificates relating to the products and their production
process, production specifications, or membership certificates from associations or
industry groups dedicated to the protection of Made in Italy products).
Image Requirements
You will find a comprehensive list of all of Amazon’s image standards that are specific
to your product category in the corresponding style guide. Please read the style guide
carefully as images that you upload to Amazon must conform to these standards.
The following list of image standards is common to all product categories:

Images must accurately represent the product and show only the product that is
for sale, with minimal or no propping.

Main images must have a pure white background (pure white blends in with the
Amazon search and item detail pages – RGB values of 255, 255, 255).

Main images must show the actual product (not a graphic or illustration) and must
NOT show excluded accessories, props that may confuse the customer, text that is
not part of the product, or borders/logos/watermarks/inset images.

The product must fill 85% or more of the image (in its longest dimension).
-
Images should be 1,000 pixels or larger in either height or width. This minimum
size requirement enables the zoom function on the website. Zoom has been proven to
enhance sales. The smallest that your file can be is 500 pixels on the longest
side. Consistently sized images are strongly recommended.

Amazon accepts JPEG (.jpg), TIFF (.tif) or PNG (.png) file formats (JPEG is
preferred).

Product must not be on a mannequin.
-
Product must have a good depth of field, meaning that the image is completely in
focus.

Every main image must show one single angle of the product with no alternative
details or views.

Product must be clearly visible in the image (e.g. if on a model, they should not
be sitting).

Image must not contain nudity.

Image must be in colour (not black and white).
What you do if you believe that you meet all the requirements
If you are able to meet all of the above-mentioned requirements, click the
Request approval button below. By clicking this button, you
confirm that you have read all the requirements listed above and you accept that you
have to meet all of them in order to be eligible to sell on the Made in Italy
storefront.
During the review process, Amazon may ask you to provide additional information or
documents relating to your business and products. At its sole discretion, Amazon will
assess the information provided and will contact you if your request has been
approved.
