FBA fulfillment fees for Amazon.com orders

You can use the category type and product size tier to calculate your Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) fees. First determine the size tier for your product. Once you know the product’s size tier, use the tables below to determine which fee will apply. Then calculate the shipping weight (details below).

For a limited time, Amazon Business sellers who provide quantity discounts for FBA business offers may qualify for a fee discount. For more information, see Selling on Amazon Business fee schedule.

Calculate the shipping weight

Standard size and special oversize

The shipping weight is calculated for each unit by adding the packaging weight to the unit weight. The total for each unit is rounded up to the nearest pound.

The shipping weight is then used to calculate the fulfillment fee based on the rates listed above.

Large standard-size items weighing more than 1 lb, small oversize, medium oversize, and large oversize

The shipping weight is calculated for each unit by adding the packaging weight to the greater of the unit weight or the dimensional weight. The dimensional weight is equal to the unit volume (length x width x height) divided by 139. The total for each unit is rounded up to the nearest pound.

The shipping weight is then used to calculate the fulfillment fee based on the rates listed above.

Size tier Packaging weight Shipping weight

(round up total to nearest whole pound)

Standard size (1 lb or less) 4 oz Unit weight 1 + packaging weight 2
Standard size (more than 1 lb) 4 oz The greater of the unit weight or dimensional weight 3 + packaging weight
Oversize 1 lb The greater of the unit weight or dimensional weight + packaging weight
Special oversize 1 lb Unit weight + packaging weight
Note: Unit weights, dimensions, and other measures used to calculate fees are as determined by Amazon and are subject to variations based on packaging. Dimensions may change based on packaging type.

1The unit weight is the weight of an individual unit.

2The packaging weight is the weight of the box and packing materials. Amazon uses these standardized weights for calculating shipping weight.

3For large standard-size units weighing more than 1 lb and all small oversize, medium oversize, and large oversize units, Amazon uses dimensional weight when it is greater than the unit weight.
