Report a violation of selling policies

Amazon encourages sellers to report seller violations of Amazon's policies or applicable law.

All reports are thoroughly investigated by our team.

For privacy reasons, the results of our investigations can't be disclosed, but we'll take any disciplinary actions we find appropriate.

Policy violations are the result of a seller violating the activities listed on the Selling Policies and Code of Conduct page.

  1. Go to Contact Us.
  2. Select Report a violation.
  3. Select your language of preference from the Please select a language from the drop-down menu.
  4. To facilitate an investigation, be sure to include the following information in the Please describe your issue field, as applicable:
    • The store or business name of the seller you are reporting.
    • The ASIN or ISBN of the item's detail page and the product title.
    • The marketplaces for which the violation has occurred.
    • A concise explanation of the violation based on the policy.
    • Supporting documentation (for example, order IDs, related messaging, or receipts).
    Note: The Additional information is an optional field that allows you to add attachments.
  5. In the Contact method field, verify the Your email and Your number are correct.
  6. Select Send.

Report listing abuse

Sellers are responsible for complying with all laws, regulations, and Amazon policies when listing products. If you believe a Seller is listing a product that is not a listing abuse but an infringement, you will need to review the types of Intellectual Property policies.

If you are a Registered Brand Owner and know the specific violation, go to Report a Violation. For more information, see the Brand Registry Help page.

If you are not a Registered Brand Owner, do the following:

  1. Go to Contact us.
  2. Select Report listing abuse.
  3. Select your language of preference from the Please select a language from the drop-down menu.
  4. To facilitate an investigation, be sure to include the following information in the Please describe your issue field, as applicable:
    • The marketplaces for which the violation has occurred.
    • A concise explanation of the violation based on the policy.
    • Supporting documentation (for example, order ID, or related messaging).
    Note: The Additional information is an optional field that allows you to add attachments.
  5. In the ASIN(s) field, provide the ASIN or ISBN of the item's detail page and the product title.
  6. In the Seller Name(s) field, provide the store or business name of the seller you are reporting.
  7. In the Contact method field, verify the Your email and Your number are correct.
  8. Select Send.

Report a buyer violation

For issues with Buyer Feedback, go to the Feedback Manager and select the appropriate action from the drop-down menu under the Actions column.

For all other issues, go to Contact Us.

  1. Select your language of preference from the Please select a language from the drop-down menu.
  2. Either select or enter a recent order number. If those options are not applicable to you, select No order number, and then select Next.
  3. You may choose to speak with an Amazon associate or communicate via email on the alternate tab.
  4. To facilitate an investigation, be sure to include the information as described for the following fields, as applicable:
    • Please describe your issue:
      • The names of the buyers.
      • The marketplaces for which the violation has occurred.
      • A concise explanation of the violation – based on the policy.
    • Order number: The order numbers pertaining to your reported violation or relating to the buyer in question.
    • Add attachment: Attach supporting documentation (for example, contracts, related messaging, or receipts).
  5. Verify the Your number/Call-back number and Your email are correct (as applicable).
  6. Select Call me now or Send as applicable.
