We put 2 step verification on our account yesterday because of the coming changes. Setting it up was quick and easy and everything went smoothly. We got the security codes sent to both phones. When we try to login now, it prompts for username and password. We enter these and it takes us to the "Send a code" screen so we can validate the login. When we click the "Send a code" button, it takes us to a screen that only says:

"We're sorry!
An error occurred when we tried to process your request. Rest assured, we're already working on the problem and expect to resolve it shortly.
Go to Amazon.com's Home Page"

We spent an hour and a half getting bounced around seller service and customer service and they had us change our password which did not solve the issue. We have tried this in Chrome, Internet Explorer, and Firefox with the same result. Has anyone else had this issue and have you been able to resolve it?

I assume you are trying to sign in to the Amazon Retail site - https://www.amazon.com? This queue is for questions related to the Login with Amazon product (http://login.amazon.com/). Either way, if you can send us the email ID you are trying to sign-in with at lwa-support@amazon.com, I can help investigate your issue. Please also provide a few of the most recent timestamps when you saw the error page.

Based on the conversation in this thread - https://sellercentral.amazon.com/forums/message.jspa?messageID=3972518#3972518 - it seems you disabled 2-step verification for your account.

This queue is for questions related to Login with Amazon (https://login.amazon.com/). The best way to deal with issues regarding your Amazon account would be to contact customer service here - https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html/ref=nav_bnav_help?ie=UTF8&nodeId=508510

We actually had I guess a similar problem. It took Amazon over 3 hours to text us the code for the 2-step verification on Sunday night. We could not answer customer questions nor process orders because there was no way to access our account until that code finally arrived, no way to actually do anything without that code nor can we even contact seller support. I understand the need by Amazon to have the 2-step verification if they want it but it does have to work 100% of the time or you will have sellers lose sales and not process orders in time.

The same exact thing just happened to us 5 minutes ago with our Seller Account. We received the same message you received.
What do we do now? How did you get your situation resolved?
We have two computers in the office. I guess we need to leave one on all the time without logging out of Amazon so we can access our account to send out orders. What a messy situation.

We ended up removing 2 step verification by submitting a copy of our account holder's driver's license. Seller support/customer service was completely useless regarding this issue. Your Amazon account logs you out automatically after enough inactivity so you'll need to remove the 2 step verification as well until Amazon gets their act together. Here is the link to deactivate: https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html/ref=hp_left_v4_sib?ie=UTF8&nodeId=202073840

Good luck!
