Read onlyWhy does this order read “waiting for pickup”?.. The order was mailed, and is in the USPS system. It’s not showing as a payment pending… Please advise…
The parcel is likely at the buyer’s post office, waiting to be picked up.

USPS tracking is always glitchy. I’ve seen many shipments not showing anything until after the order was delivered, and only then was the tracking history updated. Give it a few days!
We have the same problem with an order for a month ago. Amazon says waiting for pick up instead of shipped or unshipped.
Never seen this before and it is still in our order file after 1 month. Tracking shows delivered on time. This is not the USPS fault.
Same thing happened to me. The item was delivered to a USPS post office box which then notified the customer that a package was waiting for them to pick up. It took almost a week for the customer to pick it up and the tracking to show as delivered.
The post office is garbage, we get packages all the time waiting for pickup, could delivery no secure location and many others, it is just the post office way of lying claiming they tried to do something they didn’t, I go to usps.com and file a redelivery and a consumer affairs complaint every time it happens, they aren’t suppose to put in false information. we just got an amazon order of batteries for delivery with no secure location yet we got 2 other packages, they are a bunch of liars and nothing more. your package will mostly like be delivered the next business day
Can I tell you something? This will decrease the stress in your life considerably. “Don’t watch tracking.” Unless you have to refer to tracking to deal with a customer inquiry, don’t follow it. You will sleep better at night. You will live longer.

I have had this happen when the buyer bought 2 quantities on an order and when I bought shipping through Amazon I changed the quantity to 1.
In the order status it will say “waiting for pickup”.
This has nothing to do with actual tracking.or delivery status. It is indicating that a quantity has not shipped.
I couldn’t figure out how to fix it and seller support was not able to help.
I just made sure that the correct quantity was sent to the buyer.
I’ve had this happen to me before using Endicia to buy my shipping labels. For whatever reason the tracking number did not upload from Endicia to Amazon with the rest of the numbers for that day. I went in and manually confirmed shipping by putting in the tracking info. It never removed the “waiting for pickup” tag but the transaction completed OK and my metrics still show 100% tracking upload and shipping time so all is good. I’d just make sure your tracking number is shown on the transaction and if not add it in and move on.
