Why are my retail selling prices not showing unless consumers "click-through" to see buying options?

I am noticing several listings for items on Amazon where the retail selling price does not show up until the consumer “clicks through” to see all buying options.

Why is this happening?

Thank you!

Because the seller does not have the Buy Box (or no one does)

Its a brand new product and I am the only one who has it. Are you telling me that my price will not show until the systems metrics are met to attain my own buy-box?
Thank you btw!

That is quite common, yes.

OJust because you have a new listing that is in and belongs to amazon does not mean you get a yellow box to buy it.

You also must be a pro-seller to get the Buy Box unless you the product is FBA.

Being an Amazon seller without having been an Amazon buyer is difficult.

It is hard to know what to expect on your listings if you have not shopped here.

As other posters have pointed out, you have not earned a Buy Box (an Amazon recommendation of your offer) and you see the default version of the catalog page. You probably also have inferior search placement.
