What the Heck is going on with USPS - Unbelievable

by Seller_31j4SHZvPKWcw

We ship over 1600 orders a month currently and 90% are USPS.
We have been getting killed, with late, delayed, and lost mail.
The claim and find missing mail links do not work half the time and
lead you to an error page. We are constantly refunding and reshipping
orders that go to the Postal Graveyard of “I dunno”.

I had a customer that we purchased the shippng through Amazon which
we always do going to - IRVINE, CA 92618 on Oct 17th, we stopped
getting any transit updates on October 18th. I finally put in a text request
for updates which triggered a response, I guess it annoys them because
they have to respond. We ship out of Dallas, GA 30157
This is what the tracking pulls up,

This package went from GA to GUAM and is now in Hawaii?
What the Heck is going on. We have been getting all kinds of crazy
tracking USPS routes that are nowhere near their destination and we
as sellers are taking a killer hit with nothing that can be done about it.
This makes no sense and seems to be only getting worse.I guess going
the route for shipments going to California from Georgia are faster when
you send it to Guam and then Hawaii. I wonder where it is going to next.
Doesnt matter, we already shipped our customer a new order so they
may eventually get this package, or maybe not… I hope things get
better now that the election ballot stuff is out of the way or we are going
to have a REAL Fun Shipping Holiday Season! Order today and you might
get it by Christmas.

If you always purchase shipping through Amazon, why are you refunding and re-shipping orders? You are covered for these issues because you used Amazon Buy Shipping. Just have the customer file an A-z and Amazon will fund it and it will not hurt your metrics.

As long as you ship on time, Amazon should cover any shipping issues.

I had something i bought (on another platform), the seller was literally 2 towns over.

the package went from West palm beach, to orlando, back to west palm, out to Key West. and then bounces around all of florida.

took 19 days to get it. i could have walked there and picked it up myself.

Also, yeah it seems like this package wanted to go on tour before getting to its destination. We’ve had it happen before, you just gotta wait it out.
