I am seeing a similar issue with our Valid Tracking metric. Historically we are 99.8% or better. It dropped about 2.5% due to shipments around Oct 15th. USPS tracking site was broke for 24+ hours (recently, not exactly sure when). Probably Amazon > USPS connectivity issues.
Yes, I am having the same issue and I purchase every single label directly through amazon.
All of our shipments are delivered early, and it shows up sporadically on us.
Every order for a span of about 48 hours, then nothing, then will show up again on orders placed with in a certain time frame of a day or two.
“No direct penalty” aka we’ll just strip your premium shipping eligibilities from you and you’ll lose plenty of sales because no one wants to wait the stated 6 to 8 days it says your item will take to arrive.
We have the same all bought on Amazon all correct during the same dates.
As most of us know, most of the Mods do get the weekend off so I am not expecting a Mod response before Monday if then. This VTR has been an ongoing glitch issue for at least a week at this point and I think it has been messed up for two weeks now.

And by way of update: the case I opened with seller support this morning has been ‘answered’ by me being instructed to contact seller performance. No other action by them.
I have the same issue and reported to amazon customer care.They suggested to send an email to seller performance team. Normally my valid tracking rate ia 100% but now it is showing 95.7%.
We suddenly drop to 87% while it was 100% on Saturday. We do all the shipping using shipping easy, prepare scan sheet and then ask USPS clerk to scan. This is definitely a bug and amazon should fix it globally.
We have the same problem and the labels were Fedex.

It’s definitely an Amazon issue. We’re getting a Valid Tracking error with shipments purchased through Amazon Buy Shipping.
Also seems to happen every year at about this time.
I concur with OP. We have several orders from October (With Amazon ShippIng) that were delivered 3-4 earlier than expected delivery widow hitting our VTR metrics with invalid tracking numbers. Another similar issue that hits our matrics is when we cancel an order, at customer’s request, after a label is purchased. I hope Amazon is looking into these!
Mine are counting as late back in mid October. Actual delivery date is showing blank.

This is most definitely an Amazon issue.
If you download the report for invalid tracking, you will find that the Tacking ID field has the tracking number improperly formatted.
Instead of “9400111699000925509305” it contains “=”“9400111699000925509305"”"
This is most likely due to someone or a poorly written bit of code doing an update and corrupting the tracking number.
It would not be a big problem to fix if it could be escalated to the proper team.
If a mod is online could you look into this and pass on to the right team…
We also have 2 invalid tracking for item shipped on Oct 16th .
order received on Wed, Oct 16, 2019, 8:59 AM PDT and we had shipped it couple of hours and USPS received Wed, Oct 16, 2019, 5:55 PM .
Amazon system was asking to ship by Oct 17, 2019 to Fri, Oct 18, 2019 .
received the following reply from seller support
"I completely understand that you are proactively shipping the orders before ship by date. We appreciate your hard work and concern towards Amazon customers.
However our systems are designed in such a way that our system tracks packages ignores all carrier scan events that happen before the ship confirmation date. If all the carrier scan events occur before or on the ship confirmation date, then the system won’t get any tracking information for the package, and the order will be marked as having invalid tracking.
With regards to your concern, I have forwarded your request to our technical team to further review on VTR metric. "
its a glitch in VTR system but not sure when they will fix it
