Are you ready for your customers to ride into the future? Here's everything you need to know about listing e-mobility devices on Amazon! 🛴⚡

Devices Covered Under This Policy:

• Hoverboards
• Self-balancing unicycles
• Electric skateboards (e-skateboards)
• Electric scooters (e-scooters)
• Self-balancing personal transport devices
• Electric bicycles (e-bikes) and tricycles (e-trikes)

Note: This policy does not include children's e-mobility devices or accessories.

Key Compliance Requirements:

Standard Testing

Required Detail Page Information:

Detail pages must contain information that matches the test reports such as:

• Model, part, or item number
• Manufacturer or brand name
• For all e-mobility devices sold in New York state: An image of logo or name of the testing lab on the product or packaging and the safety standards that the product has been tested to

Required Documentation:

• Test reports from an ISO 17025-accredited laboratory that show that the product complies with the regulations, standards, and requirements listed
• For all e-mobility devices sold in New York state: Test reports from an ISO 17025-accredited laboratory that show that the product complies with the regulations, standards, and requirements listed AND A PDF of the user manual in all following languages (English, Spanish, Chinese, Russian, Yiddish, Bangla, Korean, Haitian Creole, Italian, Arabic, Polish, French, and Urdu). The user manual must include instructions on battery storage, charging guidelines, and safety measures. Upload instructions linked here.

Required Image Documentation:

• Model, part, or item number
• Manufacturer or brand name
• Product labels
• Compliance markings
• Product instructions and manuals
• Hazard warnings
• For all e-mobility devices sold in New York state: Red tag affixed to the charging cord of the product which clearly states, "Unplug when not in use" and a Notice affixed to the product which clearly stating "NOTICE: Always yield to pedestrians and follow traffic laws. Riding on the sidewalk may be illegal; consult local laws."

Best Practices when Submitting Compliance Information:

• Access the Manage Your Compliance page through the Account Health Dashboard (bottom right side of the page)
• Request lab services from approved providers (UL Solutions, SGS or others that can be found through our Service Provider Network)
• Submitted Images should be clear and legible
• Images demonstrate that the product is the same as the product tested and listed on the product detail page
• Product instructions, manuals, safety information, labels, and warnings are in the language of the intended country of sale
• If the product is a set or bundle, provide images for each product included
• All documentation must be authentic and unmodified
• Note: Where possible, provide images of all sides of a product or its packaging to help ensure that the requirements are met and reduce the possibility of delays in the approval process.
