I’m hoping someone from the Amazon team or community can help escalate what’s become a devastating issue for my business.
I’ve been sending inventory from Amazon Warehousing & Distribution (AWD) into FBA. Everything worked fine initially. But suddenly in October 2024 (that's 6 months without any sales due to this), my most important SKU started going missing. Here's what's happening:
Shipments arrive at the fulfillment center and are marked as "unexpected FNSKU", even though they were labeled correctly and matched the shipping plan. I know it's an Amazon internal error as the large shipment sent into AWD was initially working completely fine when transfered to FBA.
Amazon’s system receives the inventory but assigns it to the wrong FNSKU — sometimes a retired SKU (just 83 out of 1,000+ units, and the rest possibly even a SKU that’s not mine, as I have no visibility on it. It just vanishes.
These shipments are marked as closed, yet up to 100% of the inventory is missing and unavailable for sale.
I’ve been told I won’t be reimbursed because of a "shipment plan mismatch," even though this is clearly an internal system issue, not a labeling or shipping mistake.

I’ve escalated this multiple times and even reached the FBA leadership team, but nothing has been resolved. Now thousands of units are unaccounted for, and my business is at serious risk.
I’ve compiled a detailed discrepancy report showing what was received vs. what was lost, including Ledger data and shipment timelines. I’ve also submitted this to executive support but wanted to flag it here in case anyone else is experiencing similar issues — or if an Amazon rep monitoring the forums can finally escalate this properly.
If anyone has faced (or solved) something similar — especially involving SKU misattribution after AWD > FBA transfers — I’d really appreciate hearing from you.
