I just had an a to z claim granted against me when this item was shipped immediately, postage purchased from amazon, tracked, is still in transit, and has not returned to me yet. It was shipped to the amazon registered address, from almost Chicago to Costa Rica. True it was ordered Jan 1, but I’m not in charge of the mail system, and they gave me no chance to address this. Any tips?
Is there any way to refuse to ship out of the country?
I did just appeal it, as there is honestly no way I could have acted on this.

Recall the package… something is very wrong with it, maybe the label is damaged.
You should be able to appeal the A-Z decision and be reimbursed as per Amazon policy. The postage was purchased through Amazon. Make sure to reference/include the policy in your apeal.
That is insane! I don’t understand why it is being bounced around back and forth so much. Does look like there was a problem with the label. Did you pay proper customs fees and have correct customs label?

If on the professional plan, just check all your templates.
If on the individual plan you have to edit one by one.
Amazon may or may not cover an INR claim. They have covered A to Z claims for non-receipt on international orders at least once (according to forum users).
It was granted because the INR protection of buying shipping from Amazon is not triggered automatically for in transit packages.

It’s caught in one of those rare “loop” instances. For some reason, it keeps getting put in the wrong bin and going back and forth.
You need to call USPS Palatine Il Distribution Center directly. Someone will have to manually pull the package, to get it into the right bin. (If the Distribution Center changes, go to USPS to locate the facility it is currently showing on the tracking). Every time it’s scanned, it is being routed incorrectly, by the automated system.
When you call, ask with whomever you speak, to look at the USPS Intranet, which we cannot see, but will show the worker, where the error is occurring.
As a last resort, try this form: US Postal Inspectors - this is for missing mail and they are usually more responsive than the “normal” USPS Missing Mail Search.

You should be receiving that in a week or two, otherwise it goes to Atlanta, GA

Did you buy shipping through Amazon 1/1 6:26pm, attach the prepaid label to the package, and drop it off at the Post Office 1/1 evening or 1/2 morning without a customs form? Or did you go inside the Post Office, fill out a customs form, and hand the package to a clerk at 6:26pm on New Year’s Day?
To me, it looks like this international package to Costa Rica doesn’t have a customs form and (might) come back to you. The customer didn’t get their package and should get a refund. If/when you get the package back you can sell it again if it survives 7 weeks bouncing around 47 different Post Offices.

Basically i always purchase the insurance they offer and it covers any issues with shipment or carrier. with 3 a-z for carrier issues all have been paid by amazon if you purchase the insurance without a fight at all. Rather just show them the issue and it should be funded to both you and to recipient.
