I am trying to shipping to Canada using USPS 1st class mail on USPS.com but I keep getting this:
“First-Class Package International Service® is temporarily unavailable online. Please select a different Service Type or visit a Post Office™ location to complete your shipment.”
Does anyone know why I cant ship through USPS to Canada?
Me thinks asked and answered
The error you recieved kind of gave you the answer …
I do know that the Post Office website is “swamped” today.
I tried renewing my PO Box, and the process kept timing out on me. Did it with both Firefox and Chrome. I ended up sending our Warehouse Manager to the PO to renew it.
Could be all those holiday returns slowing things down.

Has Canada Post recovered from their strike and holiday rush? There was a period that they where not taking international shipments. Don’t know if that has changed yet.
But if USPS says they won’t take them, then they won’t take them!
Did your try actually going to a Post Office and sending the package personally? The message seems to indicate it is just the online service that is down.
One week later and it says it is still down. Anyone else having this issue?
I started seeing this error last night. My Shopify site doesn’t show ANY USPS options to Canada. What the heck?!
Still broken.
The Canadian Post is still on strike. Due to Amazon’s shipping policies - needs to arrive between – first class international package labels are currently unavailable. Several countries have currently halted all package deliveries to Canada until the strike is over.
Best you can do is to try shipping it International Priority. I know it costs more, but it may be an option.

It’s not just for Canada, it appears First-Class Package International Service to ALL destinations is unavailable on CNS.
