Hi Everyone,
I hope this post finds you well. I’m reaching out to seek advice and insights from the community regarding a potential fraud scenario we’ve encountered.
Recently, we received complaints from two different customers within a short period of time. Both customers are requesting free replacements for Amazon products, and they provided the following details:
Customer 1:
Order Number: 114-1928345-4304264
Name: James Allen
Shipping Address: 735-a South Market St., Wilmington, DE 19801-5246
Phone: +1 (302) 319 9919
Customer 2:
Order Number: 111-1827649-9749543
Name: Amanda Benson
Shipping Address: 735-a South Market St., Wilmington, DE 19801-5246
Phone: +1 (302) 319 9919
Key Observations:
Same Shipping Address: Both customers provided the exact same shipping address.
Invalid Order Numbers: The order numbers provided by both customers do not exist in our system, and Amazon customer service has also confirmed that these orders cannot be found.
Suspicious Contact Information: The phone numbers and email addresses provided seem generic and could potentially be fake.
Our Concerns:
We suspect this might be a fraud attempt, as the details provided do not match any legitimate orders in our records or on Amazon. We are reaching out to the community to see if anyone else has encountered similar situations or has insights into this pattern.
Questions for the Community:
Has anyone else received complaints from customers with the same shipping address but different names and order numbers?
Are there known fraud patterns involving fake order numbers and shared shipping addresses?
Does anyone have advice on how to handle such situations or verify the legitimacy of these requests?
We appreciate any input or guidance the community can provide. Let’s help each other stay vigilant and informed.
