What is changing?
Starting January 31, 2019, Amazon will only accept feeds based on current inventory file templates. Current inventory file templates contain TemplateType=fptcustom in the A:1 cell. Feeds based on older templates will be rejected. For the latest templates, see Inventory file templates and BTG in Seller Central.
Who is impacted?
Anyone with applications that upload and update product listings using feeds based on the inventory file templates.
What action is required?
If you have an application that is impacted by this change, be sure to:
- Base your workflow on the latest inventory file templates.
- Ensure that the fields in the header line of your feed match the fields in the latest template for that feed. For example:
TemplateType=fptcustom,Version=2018.1107,Category=petsupplies,TemplateSignature=UEVUX1NVUFBMSUVT
For the latest templates, see Inventory file templates and BTG in Seller Central.
Forum update (11/12/2018): This change only affects category-specific inventory templates, and not the Inventory Loader, Listing Loader, and Price and Quantity templates.
