Read onlyI have received a restricted product violation.
I believe this is in error for the following reasons:
You can either appeal (appeal will may take 1-2 month) or wait 180 days.
Their answer is one way. The other is to show that the item is not restricted.
Personally, I have an issue with any book incorrectly put into Toys and Games, but more so when relating to the type of topic (sexuality - regardless of it’s perspective) as this one does.
To be clear I am not trying to say anything about it’s sale on Amazon. I’m not even sure at the moment about which angle it’s coming from.
However … Amazon themselves have removed it completely from the site. That may be because of IP Rights issues though, as I’m not sure at the moment on how it was determined to be “Restricted.”
Based on everything I am not sure you really can come up with a valid appeal to get it removed.

Regardless if you want to try to sell it or not you should still send an appeal if it is on your account health. When you send an appeal they will notate your account on why you had gotten the mark on your account health.
You should also remove the listing right away. If you still want to sell the book and win the appeal you can add it back on.
Hello @lemko1853,
Hannah here.
When you receive a policy violation in regards to a prohibited listing, you will be asked to close or delete that listing along with any other inventory that is violating the same policy within 24 hours.
If you wish to appeal the violation, you can send an email to product-compliance-policy@amazon.com explaining the following:
Root Cause (why did you fail to realize this was a prohibited listing?)
Immediate solution steps (what actions did you take immediately after receiving the complaint?)
Long term, preventative measures (what processes have you put in place to ensure that you are no longer in violation and that your account will not receive similar complaints in the future?)
Your Account Health dashboard will always reflect a rolling 180 day period. The only way to remove these complaints is to appeal successfully or to allow enough time to pass that they drop off.
Best,
Hannah
I tried in a similar situation. Amazon said the same thing about 180 days. The assured me it wouldn’t hurt me but really don’t trust them.
