I’m not sure the BUY-BOX is that important in books, We rarely win it- w/ a mere dozen out of 10,800 listings-an infinitesimal percentage Those we do have belong to the listings we created, with few competitors.
Still, we do okay-plugging away 7 years! We usually have perfect metrics/100% feedback rating, supposedly important to their algorithm. . However, we refuse to sell a book for $6.99 or less…
In a thread from last year, which of course, I can’t locate; it was mentioned Amazon planned to ban this “unbalanced” type of listing since customers are likely to ignore large shipping charges and focus on the low, low item price. Have a bad experience which of course, Mother A abhors.
Now seems the-powers-that-be are rewarding vendors that use this ploy!.
