We need urgent resolution regarding an unjust A-Z claim where:
Facts of the Case:
Order ID: 113-2002090-8728229
Case ID: 17530301271
Order: Shipped a sofa in 4 packages, all delivered on time with valid Proof of Delivery (POD).
Buyer’s Claim (Feb 24): Alleged "missing hidden parts" – we immediately provided installation guides and offered assistance.
A-Z Claim (Mar 21): Buyer filed, claiming "incomplete product." Amazon automatically refunded full amount and penalized our account.
Our Response (Mar 25): Offered to replace missing parts OR full return – buyer went silent after receiving refund.
Key Issues:
Amazon’s Policy Violation: Buyer was refunded but refuses to return the product, effectively getting it for free.
Double Loss: We lost both inventory & revenue, plus an unfair ODR strike.
No Fair Resolution: Since Amazon has issued a full refund to the buyer, the buyer should return the received pieces to us. We have requested the buyer to return the pieces to us but the buyer never respond our Amazon message.
Demanded Actions:
Reimburse us for the refund amount (buyer is keeping the product).
Remove the ODR strike – we provided valid POD and post-delivery support.
Clarify policy enforcement: Why was a refund granted without return verification?
I understand that customer satisfaction is paramount on the Amazon platform and we as sellers are committed to upholding this principle. Yet, situations like these not only affect our bottom line but also disrupt the balance of customer service versus seller rights.
So how could we protect our interest? How could we let the buyer return the received pieces to us after the full refund is proceeded.
I hope by sharing my experience, we as a community can brainstorm and come up with solutions to better handle such situations in the future. Any insights, advice, and experiences you could share would be highly appreciated.
