by Jeniffer_Amazon

What is changing?

Today, July 21, 2021, we are releasing a new version of the Reports API: reports_2021-06-30 and the Feeds API: feeds_2021-06-30.

We've been listening to your feedback and are removing the requirement for client-side encryption for Selling Partner API (SP-API) Feeds and Reports APIs.

We have determined the existing server-side encryption we provide meets or exceeds the industry standard. This change is intended to make integrating with Selling Partner API (SP-API) easier. Developers who have integrated with the 2020-09-04 version of the Reports and Feeds API can continue without interruption.

Which marketplaces are affected?

This affects all marketplaces.

Who is affected?

SP-API developers whose applications use the Reports or Feeds API are affected.

What action is required?

No action is immediately required. Existing integrations can continue using the 2020-09-04 version of the Reports API and the Feeds API without change.

Those who want to use the new Reports or Feeds API (v2021-06-30) and remove client-side encryption can do so when convenient.

The 2020-09-04 version of the Reports and Feeds APIs will be deprecated in August 2022. It is recommended that you integrate with the latest version (2021-06-30) of these APIs prior to August 2022 to avoid service disruptions.
