What is changing?
On January 1, 2020, Amazon added four new order tracking options for sellers in Australia. Sellers in Australia can now select the following new tracking option values when submitting order confirmation feeds:
- AustraliaPost-Article ID
- StarTrack-Article ID
These tracking options can be specified in the CarrierName (XML) or carrier-name (flat file) field of the following feed templates:
These new order tracking values allow sellers in Australia to provide either Article ID (previously the only accepted tracking number) or Consignment number (a more commonly used tracking number) for Australia Post and Star Track.
Which marketplaces are affected?
This change applies to the Australia marketplace.
Who is affected?
This change does not require developers to make changes to their applications. However if you have an application that creates or updates order fulfillment details by submitting feeds based on OrderFuldillment.xsd or Flat.File.ShippingConfirm.xls, you should be aware of this change.
What action is required?
If you have an application that provides shipping services to sellers in Australia, you should make your sellers aware of the new tracking option values for the CarrierName/carrier-name field in the OrderFulfillment.xsd/Flat.File.ShippingConfirm.xls templates.
