I didn’t notice that other thread. It appears to have been temporarily closed a couple of times due to a large number of flags so you cannot post replies to it right now.
I see that the suggestion is to use a different carrier, however, that does not help the situation for packages that are already in transit before this announcement was made. So if there are orders that were due to be delivered on the last day of the delivery window, those orders will surely be marked as delivered “late”. This is why Amazon needs to have things in place to correct metrics for unforeseen events such as this.
Why is Amazon behind the 8 ball on this one? The Federal Government is closed Wednesday, December 5th and so is the post office, yet Amazon shows on our orders that we have to ship December 5. No can do. Now what?
Just talked with our carrier and we will get pickup tomorrow like a normal holiday (Not Christmas or Thanksgiving). Nice to be commercial but I feel the pain for everyone else.
