Invalid Marketplace ATVPDKIKX0DER

#1

Hello,

I was using the scratchpad to test out a feed when I received a response that ATVPDKIKX0DER was an invalid marketplace. Here is the entire response:

<?xml version="1.0"?> Sender InvalidMarketplace Feed rejected 44c66307-0dac-4f61-8962-378fb0e27b35

Here is the feed with my merchant id removed:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> 1.01 XXXXXXXXXXX Product 0 Update FBA-10000 ASIN 0131436643 UsedVeryGood No high lighting or marking on pages. Used once. Test Card stock advertising removed from the inside cover. Operations Management: Processes and Value Chains College Level Text. unitOfMeasure="IN">10.90 unitOfMeasure="IN">8.70 unitOfMeasure="IN">1.80 unitOfMeasure="LB">4.40 false not_applicable

Here is a screen shot of scratchpad with identifying information removes:

Has anyone run into a similar problem lately? Any help appreciated.

From what you have shown I can’t see anything that jumps out. However when posting xml data use the preformatted button </> so that it renders properly.

Hi,

I didn’t know about the preformatted button. Thank you.

#4

Are you sure you didn’t copy paste a space in front or at the back of the marketplace ID string? Sometimes this can happen.

Hello Roman,

Thanks for responding. I’ll give try scratchpad again while being careful about spaces. In the failing application I’ll use the trim function (I’m coding in PHP) to cleanup the marketplace id before I include it in my request to the API.

I opened a ticker, but the support team is overwhelmed with incoming calls at this time.

Hello,

My account had gone inactive because of out of date information. Oddly enough I couldn’t submit a feed, but I could use the API to fetch information about products matching an ISBN or ASIN.

Interesting.

Hello,

A real head scratching experience. Once I submitted the feed from the scratchpad without a marketplace id I received a message stating my account was inactive with a suggestion that I contact Amazon. Including the marketplace id, required as part of the feed, I only received an message indicating the id was invalid.

I learn something new every day.
