This business model will result in a lifetime ban on Amazon. I strongly suggest you find a different plan.

Alibaba is not a place where to source your first products as a new, inexperienced seller.

In case of any issues, Amazon will request you to provide invoices as the proof of authenticity of your items and the ones from Alibaba will be rejected.

Would you like for us to purchase those items for you as well? Do some research, and dont do what your thinking of doing. You will be suspended before you even get started.

Have you thought about:
Pricing?
Customs forms & duties?
Labeling?
Inspecting your goods?
If your items infringe on patents?
Are they considered hazardous or have batteries?
Amazon will not likely accept your Alibaba reciepts if any of your items authenticity is questioned.

You might as well put all your money in a pile on the floor, pour lighter fluid on it, and set it ablaze.

Whatever you buy from Alibaba is already being sold on Amazon by 100 other people at a loss.

A lemonade stand would be a better business to start with.

I agree, that it is probably not the best place to source products for reselling, especially for Amazon, I would try a different plan, for sure.

I am a Handmade seller on Amazon, and I can just say, websites like Alibaba are well-known in the community for stealing artisans photos and descriptions straight from Amazon listings and "selling’ them as their own. These websites are notorious for scamming artists. I would firstly be sure what you are planning to buy is a legitimate product and item, and not something they just swiped from the Amazon website posing as their own. Makers have been boycotting and sending cease and desist letters to these websites for years, but they have somehow gotten away with these tactics. If these sites have no issue scamming customers, they will have no issue scamming you, as well. In turn, you will have some very unhappy customers by selling them items that are either nonexistent or pure garbage.

First — Alibaba is not the place to be doing business with — as you can see by all of the prior messages here.
Second — you need to do your own homework on this. You cannot expect anyone here in the forums to answers all these questions, and give you directions for setting things up properly — and in knowing what you are to do.
Third — wouldn’t you want to do an inspection of the product? Do your packaging, etc … You cannot expect Amazon to packaging and labeling for you — except if you pay for it.
Fourth — PLEASE attend Amazon’s Seller University ---- It will give you answers to your questions.

IMO – you don’t know what you are doing, and really need to do some due diligence.

Good luck,
CJ
