How to reset bids to the default amount?

You can override the default bid for specific keywords. But there is no obvious way to delete the override value and restore the bid to the default value.

Is there a way to reset bids to the default amount?

As far as I know, you can only do it manually in each keyword’s field:

by clicking in the field and then entering desired number + save to return to the default value (or any value you prefer):

I am not aware of a way to do this in bulk, but maybe someone else has found a way and can post here. I know that re-saving the default in Ad Group Settings does NOT restore it globally.

Does that help and/or was that what you were asking? If not, can you please clarify a bit or post a screen shot?

In your example, you started with four different override values for four keywords. Then you had to type in the $0.75 value for each of the four keywords one-by-one to match the default value.

Instead, I want to clear out the override values so that they will match the default value I set for the Ad Group. This would restore the bids to the state they were in before I ever added the override bid values. That way, if I have 200 keywords, I can change them all at the same time, just by changing the single default value in the Ad Group settings.

There is not, to my knowledge, an easy to do this from within the campaign manager. I think you’d have to do a bulk upload with the corrected bids or just change them all manually, which is essentially the same amount of time.

Yes. Or you can just set the bids on the keywords you want in bulk.
I believe you can do this via data file but you can also do it by getting all the keywords in a filter/search on one page - then check the box in the top left corner.
A menu will appear with an option to adjust bids. Whatever value you put in there will adjust the bids on all keywords selected but only the keywords selected. Hope this helps.

You can do this for sponsored brands and sponsored product keywords.
