How often is ODR time window update?

#1

As today is September 10th already and the ODR window time frame is still from Jun 28, 2022 - Aug 26, 2022 and my ODR is more than 1%. I just need them to update to September.

the ODR window time frame is still from Jun 28, 2022 - Aug 26

ODR updates daily at 5 pm Pacific time.

The dates in the assessment range lag 14 days behind current time, because ODR reflects how satisfied buyers are with your service, and they can’t decide that within a day of placing their order.

Amazon gives them 14 days to receive their purchase, contact you with any potential customer service issues, and then decide how satisfied they are. That’s why the last 14 days worth of orders aren’t included in the number yet.

Because it’s not 5 pm Pacific time yet today, the assessment range is June 28 - Aug 26.
After 5 pm it will shift forward by a day and become June 29 - Aug 27. It happens at 5 pm Pacific time because Amazon bases it on UTC time and midnight UTC, when it becomes the next day, translates to 5 pm in the Pacific time zone.

Each day at 5 pm, the date range moves forward one day. Orders from the oldest date (June 28, currently) fall off and orders from the newest date (Aug 27) are added in.

and my ODR is more than 1%

If you’re trying to figure out when your ODR will go back under 1%, look at the order date of the order(s) with defect(s) and count how many days until that date falls out of the range.

Past explanations provided here, if the above isn’t clear -

Asking the following questions to make sure we fully understand (our ODR is 0% as we normally don’t have this type of claim by customer)

Is the report based on when the customer reports it or the date of the order? If a customer orders on 9/1/2022 and reports it on the last day of the 14 which would be 9/15/2022, would the fall off date be based on 9/1/2022 or 9/15/2022?

If the ODR is based on the order date of 9/1/2022 and the report ran 9/8/2022 to 10/7/2022, then the following report on 10/8/2022 to 11/7/2022 the 9/1/2022 order should not be on the 10/8/2022 to 11/7/2022 report … correct? This scenario would make it be closer to 35 days to 45 days from the date ordered to the date the ODR cleared off.

If the ODR is based on the customer reporting date of 9/15/2022 and the report ran 9/8/2022 to 10/7/2022, then the ODR would not show up on the 9/8/2022 to 10/7/2022 report but would then be on the 10/8/2022 to 11/7/2022 report and therefore would not fall off until after 11/8/2022 … correct? … This scenario would make it be closer to 60 days from the date ordered to the date the ODR cleared off.

Our ODR reporting date is the same as the OP and hasn’t updated since August 26, 2022 which is what we think the OP is concerned about. Because the report hasn’t run or isn’t showing, the OP is could be looking at 60 day roll off.

@GH_Electronics_We_re … Amazon has been doing several changes to the seller central GUI as of late. It is possible that these changes have effected the updating of the ODR report. Probably patience is required and, during this time, look at what has been causing the ODR problems and look for the solutions.

Is the report based on when the customer reports it or the date of the order?

The metric, as shown on your Account Health page, is based on the order date. I’ve never had a reason to download a report, but I assume it would be the same.

I have no idea what you’re asking. :upside_down_face:

I assume the report covers the same dates as the AH screen shows. Today, that’s 6/28 - 8/26.

In another half hour, it will switch to 6/29 - 8/27. I assume the report reflects data in the same range as is shown on that page. So whenever you generate the report, it should cover the same 60-day period shown on the AH page.

This scenario would make it be closer to 35 days to 45 days from the date ordered to the date the ODR cleared off.

The oldest date in the range should always be 60 days (the start of the 60-day window), plus 14 days (the reporting lag time) prior to now.

On Sept 10, defects associated with orders placed on 6/27 fell off.
Tomorrow (which starts at 5 pm today), defects from orders placed on 6/28 will fall off.

The orders that fall off each day were placed roughly 2 1/2 months ago.

Our ODR reporting date is the same as the OP and hasn’t updated since August 26, 2022

It’s not accurate to say it ‘hasn’t updated since August 26’. That suggests that the date range you see hasn’t changed in the last 14 days. I’m sure that’s not the case, is it?

The latest date of the current range IS August 26, that’s what it’s supposed to be. It’s what you see, what OP sees, and what I see. Give it another 30 minutes and it will be August 27. It’s always 14 days before today.
