Just wondering if anyone else is having this problem and how to solve it. My last 3 orders (FBM) that were to be shipped to Mexico only gave me one choice when I went to buy shipping. It is DHL so on the last 3 orders I have had a big problem with DHL accepting the package because they say there has to be a commercial invoice for the shipment. There is no way to print out a commercial invoice when you are buying shipping through Amazon it only give you the label. I tried dropping one package off at a drop off center and they would not take it. I called DHL for the pick up and they told me they would pick it up and that I should not need a commercial invoice. When the guy showed up to pick it up he almost wouldn’t take it, telling me that they will probably send the package back to me. So far 2 of the 3 packages were delivered but the guy told me that it probably won’t continue to happen. He mentioned something about the code that prints out on the shipping label should be something different than what is printing out so that the invoice in not needed. Contacted seller support they act like they have never heard of this problem. Help!
We haven’t used DHL through Amazon Shipping, but I can tell you that DHL recently implemented a “Paperless Invoice” for international orders. Essentially, they electronically forward the customs information to the receiving country so there is no need for it to be affixed to the package.
However, this is something we had to Opt-In to on our DHL account. I don’t know if Amazon is electronically forwarding the customs invoice to the destination or not…but if DHL is not accepting it, then I would think that they aren’t doing it.
Hopefully you can get some answers from Amazon Support regarding DHL and how they are transmitting the customs paperwork since DHL isn’t accepting your package.
After I posted this I found out that when you print a shipping label through Amazon shipping it has a code on it C-DTP. This code I am told indicates that a commercial invoice must accompany the package. I went in to check the tracking on my last package and this one says Possible delay in delivery due to extra carrier processing. I re-opened the case with Amazon with the information on the code so I am hoping they will change this in the system.
you actually can print the commercial invoice from amazon i do it daily its mid page next to print packing slip i beleive
I used DHL last shipment to Mexico as USPS is way too slow. Took it to a UPS place and just filled out the paperwork there.

i did use dhl to mexico while printed label from amazon, i droped it in a pick up store next day they called me and ask for price and name of product witch i provided and they added it on there side . 2 day later package was delivered without any issue .

I have had same issue , one time I dropped it then they called me back and asked about product and price, other time dropped it at ship station then called me next day saying that dhl driver can’t pick it up without account number so I had to go get it then schedule a pick up, at pick up driver asked for info but end up just taking it without . both situations got delivered no issue just the headache of the process is frustrating .
I believe amazon need to check with dhl for a solution .
